Now how about that second FIL that came out regarding the voluntary leaves of absence? It seems to indicate its only for the month of November. But I don't know. They say reduced flying for the holiday season.... but wouldnt the holiday season have more flying??
Anybody would be down for taking this?

Yeah you poolies really should re-examine your options and pursue employment elsewhere...If if we run a class 2nd quarter of 09" (the earliest I've heard it will happen) you will be on reserve forever at PDT. Not to mention upgrades probably won't start up again for another few years...
PDT was a good choice a year ago...get hired get a year of 121 exp, go to a jet regional for your jet time, then onto corporate or the majors...now...being stuck at a T-prop company that is likely to start significant downsizing is far from a good option.
Morale here is very very low...And to top it all off the company has implemented some pretty seedy things to keep it sliding even lower. Many of us believe this is intentional to encourage attrition.

None of the pilot's or f/a's got paid...Farrow is blaming PNC bank. Check your email, just got one from our MEC chair about it...supposed to be rectified by tomorrow. Initially we were told all DD's would be done by tomorrow morning, but now it looks like some may not get paid for a few days...I can tell you I'm not going to work until I have my funds....half because I'm p/o'd half because I have no money to eat and take care of my hotel room I need in base being I commute..I've been on the phone all morning. Looks like a lot of pilots will be refusing to report for duty until paid...

Are you guys serious? How much you have to hate your company to say such things? Look, things happen and if they say it'll be fix soon why not work together and make this work? I understand if its a week and you haven't gotten pay but a day or two?
I just can't understand why people are so negative these days...If you're really unhappy with the company, please do everybody a favor and leave! I'm sure there is better company out there. No body is being force to stay right? I don't think so.

I don't work there anymore, but it sounds like much hasn't changed. If everyone who was unhappy quit, there would be no PDT. A rather famous letter so stating was sent from a training instructor to the chief pilot several years ago. But you'll be happy to know I did opt to take my ball and go home.
