If you search APC for "Taxes" or something like that, you'll find multiple threads on it. And I don't know about anyone elses experience, but unless you write off a ton of stuff, the standard deduction is higher than if you use your perdiem calculations. I remember last year I went through all that effort to claim my per diem, plus all of my work expenses, and it still wasn't any better...

Anyone hear anything about the crew news in CLT? They haven't posted it yet. I heard some PDT people were thinking about going to represent and stick it to the man!

I saw only the one from PHX, nothing interesting on there...the flight attendants gave Kirby crap about how much our buddy passes cost and then straight up asked him when the last time he paid the fee for first-class upgrade, and when he said 'never', they were like, "that's our point" and they all applauded themselves cuz they pretty much owned him on that one...that was pretty much the high point of the crew news from out west

I'm glad you pointed that out. Typically I do not listen to the FA part of the crew news. Although they brought up a GREAT point and did so in an very professional way. Normally the FA's sessions turned into a lot of complaining and thus I dont listen to most. But this lady had some great points across the board and I and my wife got a great laugh out of it....

I used to not watch the FA meeting either, but then there was that one time at the FA meeting where DP (haha, love that guy's initials) messed up what he was saying and said that there were going to be hundereds of Piedmont "pilots" losing their jobs with the LGA transaction (when what he really meant to say was "employees" in general)...so after that I started taking a peek at the FA videos.

What really helps a lot is that you don't really have to watch the video cuz each question is highlighted and listed as a separate link on the side of the video so you can just click to a specific question if you see one that stands out, so that way you can just skip questions titled "galley cart supplies" etc

Where did this come from? Another rumor or any truth to this?

I turned in the new manuals of course, but I still have the old one. Was the 200 info taken out of the new POH?

Oh, and I saw the CLT crew news didn't see anything directed towards PDT... I saw 1 or 2 PDT guys in there though.
