I guess there is a New hire class starting 2/14/2012 no captains in that class.

Also heard that 15 Capts leaving for Mainline?

I heard more like 5 captains going to mainline.... Seems like we've lost a heck of a lot more captains than we've been upgrading.....I heard the union had a meeting this past week about the possible merger with AA

On the crew pay reports, why is some of our per diem taxed and the rest non taxed? Anyone know what makes the difference?

It is the difference between outNbacks and multiday trips! Multi day perdiem is not taxed!!

If you sit hot reserve then the per diems are taxable.

It's ok. It's a Hilton, undergoing a renovation. Not much around within a 10-15 min walk. Van will take you within a 5 mile radius, when available. Rooms are ok. Restaurant/bar in hotel, but NY prices. 15% discount. Letter in room said they will bring you a microwave upon request, if available. isn't the best, isn't the worst.
