From the training department pdt is converting the dash8 into dash jets, reinforcing the spars mounting jet engines and glass cockpit mod...... this is part of the new American regional restructure. Cant wait to fly those dash jets. Future looks bright now, no reason to leave :-D is about time.

"...RAH got AA flying but what will happen to the 50 seaters and their contract situation compiled with Frontier losses and an unhealthy balance sheet...that basically leaves SKW, they have many 50 seaters, some new airplanes coming under contract and many options... This scared the EXJ side as they could see their airline shrink massively while SKW retains their size and they are not hiring..."
US Airways Mainline drives the fuel cost indexing at RAH, implementing their fuel cost indexing software to RAH to reduce wasted fuel in all flight regimes, including APU usage.
RAH starts taking deliveries of new AA E175s in July '13 with 2-3 airframes per month. Opened CVG training facility in May (old ComAir FSI building) with a new SIM there.
No new news on RAH's C-Series LOI with Bombardier.
Frontier, while up for sale, isn't bleeding red ink anymore.
SKW just inked a deal with UAL to operate 40 E175s and inked a deal with Embraer for those 40 airframes, plus conditional options for another 60 airframes. That doesn't include their MRJ commitments.
Just sayin'

RAH has pulled their 50 seat flying from US Airways. As of May 1, none there.

And I think those 50 seaters whom were flown for US Air are now under Delta colors.
SKW airplanes are in exchange for many 50 seaters. Whether the 50 seaters parked come from Expressjet or SKW remains to be seen. And dependent where the 30 Ejets that Unites bought go, then SKW and Expressjet might be parking more airframes. I am not bashing them as eagle is parking airplanes with no replacements in sight. I was painting a picture of the regionals. I think you missed the point of the post and where the thread had been going. We were discussing how all the regionals have question marks, how it's an up and down game at the regionals and the one that is thriving today may not tomorrow and the same the other way around. SKW has the potential to continue being the better regional out there but when is all said and done that management is in business to make the company money.

As for PDT, I'm guessing our fate will slowly reveal itself shortly after this merger closes (3rd qtr?). If you use the past legacy mergers as an example you'll probably see a big shuffle in the regional feed in the first 6 months, maybe sooner. It seems like this merger in particular has been extensively planned for years by Parker and the rest in Tempe. As soon as the DOJ signs off the pieces of the regional puzzle for the new AA will fall in to place much quicker than mainline.
