You are not living in reality. With all the problems with the industry you risk working for a company that is very close to going out of business. I’m not saying that any company is safe, look at Pan Am, TWA, and Eastern, all one of the first major airlines in the U.S. and all gone. You just have look at your options and look at the risks of working for a bottom feeder. You need a reality check.

Never said they were safe. It's a chance to get some more hours to qualify for a bunch of better stuff at home. Pay is not a concern for me, time and hours are.

This thread has nothing to do with Mesa Interviews....to answer your question Maria both aircraft have quick upgrades if you have the time. The benefit of the Dash is that you can go either to Dash capt or RJ capt which ever you can hold, while on the RJ you cant go from FO to Dash Capt.

You better make it one. Otherwise the industry, and specifically that company, will never improve. It's about more than just yourself. Once people start realizing that, the industry will have no choice but to improve.

BTW, it was me that wanted to know the fastest route at Mesa for turbine PIC. So far, it seems the one possiblity is the Dash as the jets have seat locks

Pay isn't a concern for me.

Maria you already have the perfect attitude for MESA and you will carry the Mesa legacy into the next millenia. I suggest at the interview you have the same attitude and you will be hired on the spot. In fact you might even want to tell them you'd fly for free under certain conditions because it's all about the flight time. It's just amazing how advice from guys that have already been there isn't getting through to these SJSers. And by the way I know you're new to the game but you don't get to pick as a junor pilot, you will 100% guaranteed get the CRJ in statans ass hole IAD or worse ORD where you WILL have a miserable life and get paid 3 hours for working 16. The dash is senior because it's PHX/West flying.

This is the same attitude a lot of the freedom newbies have/had. I have zero sympathy for whatever happens to em frankly, this is a disgusting view of the industry and this stupid crap is the reason why the QOL at ALL regionals is miserable

This post shows exactly how much you know about the company. Mesa is currently hiring for both aircaft. When I interviewed I recieved a call in which they asked me if I WANTED the CRJ or the DASH. Chances of getting the RJ right now are higher than the Dash but it dosent mean you cant get the Dash. As a matter of fact the last class had something like 20 people go to the Dash and the class that starts tommorow also has close to the same number. So BUR its not a 100% guarantee, dont come on here and throw out false information just because "its what you heard".

What are you willing to be paid to get that time? Or better yet, what are YOU willing to pay THEM?

But your pay(or what you are willing to work for) is a concern to me and about 40000 other pilots...

Actually I didn't hear anything, I was going by past knowledge, the Dash is generally senior they don't usually hire for the DASH. And if they just had 20 and another 20 then that's like 1/3 of the total pilots need for the Dash fleet. How much more new hires can they need? Where they are short is in IAD and ORD by the hundreds which if you go you will find out why.
