Not to a US regional they wont. If it flies for anyone in the US it will have to go to a major.

We're not talking about the manufacture; we're talking about the US demand for the CR10. Do you actually think that manufactures have the ability to sell an airframe to an airline that doesn't need them? That's some serious Kool-Aid there.

But you're right, they don't give a crap about scope but I guaran-damn-t you that they do give a crap about demand and I bet they’re going to sell them overseas with none being sold to a US regional. Remember that scope, for the most part, is pretty well maxed out in the 70ish range (excluding US Airways) therefore there will be no US regional demand.

I also wouldn't expect mainline to buy them. No they're looking more for an a/c that can operate down to the top of their scope limits and up to the 73 range all while on the same type; thus reducing cost. The CRJ series can't offer the growth so this is where Embraer’s E series and Bombardier’s C series come into play. I would expect mainline to buy them and buy them in large amounts over the next 2-10 years.

Well US Air wants to dump the E-190s out there because their pilots simply don't want to fly them. So send them a letter. If they hit the streets then someone will fly them and at that point there's no reason it can't be any one of us.

I dont know much about USAIR so i wont speak on them. I just know CALs scope and NWA/DAL's scope language. IF they were to dump the E-190's on a regional then they are morons. I find it unlikely they could be that short sighted.

I doubt that TD, sure we would all like to fly larger a/c and get paid more but every US Airways pilot (West that is; not those grumpy East guys who all take after Skyhigh) I've come across is happy to have the E's under roof because of the blood they've lost due to their scope. It's always better to have the choice to leave than be forced to leave. Remember that those flying the E's are more than likely the most JR US Airways pilots (mainly the FO's, after all those East guys are......well you just can't call them JR.....LOL), there for no E-jets.............no job.

BTW, I jump US a lot.

That's what they said with the J4J guys. Why fly them for $40+ish as an FO when they could go J4J with them to a regional and make double that as a CA? This is just talk I've heard from some of those guys.

CAL and DAL/NWA's scope is great but once one person puts something on the market the others have to follow to keep the price wars fair. How do you guys think we got to the 70+ seat jets in the first place? It wasn't because a regional bought them then went to the mainline. Mainlines went to the regionals.

CAL never gave in to the 70 seat jets and they are doing just fine. NWA and DAL is about to Cap off the number of 70+ seaters as soon as the joint contract is signed . So it doesnt have to keep moving in the wrong direction. The mainline guys are getting the point and it hopefully is shifting in the right direction.

OK, I can see that but remember that we’re not really facing another J4J situation here. The reasons why we’re furloughing today aren’t the same as they we’re 6 years ago.

Hmmmm true but only because mainline pilots wouldn't fly them, or at least they wouldn't fly them at our pathetic rates (once again US Airways excluded). BTW, I wouldn't expect mainline pilots to give up anymore scope, they've learned their lesson and I DON’T WANT THEM TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I, for one, would like at job at mainline someday.
