Whats going on with Eagle......
#62
well i spend an awful lot of time around the crewroom and this is what i have heard lately...and i stress what i have heard...the sources are other pilots and flight attendants...
one thing that i think is common knowledge that i found interesting is that a lot of 135s are parked out in marquette...however they keep cycling them in and out and using all of them one or two at a time...so they have not completely sold them off or parked them in a desert.
and of course everyone's favorite rumor...boston is not closing after all...i'll believe that when i see it...
talk is also that eagle may ramp up hiring around january...
i have also heard that if we go to jfk in november the people there the first month will all hold lines for that one month...i don't believe this at all...
so that's all i've heard....
no one is allowed to yell at me for incorrect info...

Effective November, the following changes:
LGA-BOS ~6 roundtrips/37 flights per week each way reinstated (previously service ended)
LGA-CLE ~2 roundtrips/12 flights per week (previously service ended)
LGA-CMH ~3 roundtrips/18 flights per week added for a total of 37/week (previously selling 19/week)
LGA-PIT ~2 roundtrips/13 flights per week (previously service ended)
LGA-RDU ~4 roundtrips/25 flights per week added for a total of 63/week (previously selling 38/week)
LGA-YYZ ~2 roundtrips/12 flights per week added for a total of 65/week (previously selling 53/week)
They are protecting some of the slots in LGA because the government wants to sell the slots they don't use to the compeition. What it means for BOS I don't know. Also, I'm not positive on this but, i believe they parking 19 of the 135's instead of 29. They only thing thats been confirmed is the route change. The base, and aircraft is just rumors I think. Hiring in Jan or Mar. Again a rumor. good luck to all.

This is flame bait. My number moved up 15 in Chicago alone. over 40 overall between Sept and October. People are still bailing out and some are taking the zero/part time lines. Also, several elder captains have taken the severence package.

That doesn't include people who took long term leaves.... the 5 was just resignations or retirements. The LTOA's keep their seniority while out. Do a 3U/Base/Seat/Equip/D to see how many are qualified to bid in your base.
Word has it BOS has 10 less this month than last month for the FO's... That's one base only... so it looks like more people are taking the LTOA's than resigning. The FO's are still overstaffed in most bases and since they awarded several part time lines for October in several bases... I'd expect more LTOA's will likely be offered. The first of the base transfers takes place November too as I recall.

Next month they are going to be extremely short of CA reserves in MIA and DFW for the ATR...Captain downgrade training dates have been pushed back. Many of us are crossing our fingers hoping those guys get to hold on to their seats.
