It's not about having other hobbies or being a geek. You should care, just like you should care about what happens at other airlines. What happens at one airline (especially with contracts and strikes) directly affects pilots at other airlines. To say "I don't know nor do I care" is very naive.

If you don't believe me, read "Hard Landing" by Thomas Petzinger and educate yourself.

BOS isn't closing, but will be reduced. 1,000 more hours of flying being added in the northeast at request of AA. Hiring to resume January 09 at the earliest, but by early spring for sure.

It isn't closing, but will be reduced. Probably will end up the size of LAX.

so im assuming that the hiring pool will be getting phone calls around then???
