You're going to be replacing mainline pilots that will be furloughed because you and your mighty 170/175 can do it for cheaper. If you don't understand that, then it's hopeless. It's interesting how rather than making posts on being ashamed and trying to work this out the with the union, RAH are defending this Midwest deal.

R-I-G-H-T because I was at the negotiating table with BB when this deal was inked. Read some of my previous posts there genius because I've made it quite clear that I think this deal stinks to high heaven and I am by no means in favor of it. In fact can you show me where a RAH pilot on these boards is doing the safety dance over this???? You work for an alter ego and actually DEFEND it yet I am here saying very publically that I think this is a load of horse hockey what RAH is doing to Midwest yet you point fingers. Amazing.

Fair enough. Is there something being done about this deal or is it pretty much set in stone?

You certainly have alot to say for a guy working at Eagle...

Did they offer them to mainlines? in many cases, yes they did... it is just mainlines refused to fly them for the wages regional fools accepted.... now we have our first example of where the majors said this would lead. Elimination of good mainline jobs to be replaced by crap regional pilot pay jobs. Our worst enemy is ourselves. honestly its not shiny jet syndrome. i dont know of anyone who went to one airline over another because one has a jet and the other one doesnt. Most of us in the "shiny jet syndrome" generation are at regionals because we NEED THE MONEY. I left flight instructing because my crappy sub contracting whipsaw/scab/evil/scum of the industry airline was going to give me a better pay check so that i could possibly pay off my debt from getting into this industry to start. I wish the regionals didnt exist. It would be nice to work for a usair or an american or delta, but they arent hiring and even when they were who has 1000 pic turbine with out going to a regional? Yeah there's part 135 but why should anyone have waited till they had part 135 time when they could go and fly one of these little jets that mainline didnt want and get a steady pay check? We are not working at these places to steal some one else's job, we are working here cause we need a job. No one I went to school with spent the money we spent to be airport bums washing airplanes trying to get an hour here or an hour there for years before we have enough time to sit right seat in a charter operation. We are just trying to live our own lives.

So if its true your at Eagle spouting off about how low regional pilots are your pathetic.
If all of this type of stuff was happening when the holier-than-thou mainline guys who, while at a mainline turned down flying these types of airframes, were at the old school regional level, they would have done the same thing all the current regional drivers are doing. If they tell you differently they are liars.....period.

Its amazing how quickly this turned into a RAH bash thread. If anyone else feels like throwing mud at us, why don't you read the first two posts.

For the record, our Union is talking with Midwest's. No one here is pleased with the deal. That's been stated numerous times here.

There is way too much "Pot calling the kettle black" going on.

Of course it did. Its pretty obvious pilots are famous for globbing on to any shred of weakness and exploit it ad nauseum to make themselves feel better. Heck I've been guilty of it. Next we'll be slammin (insert regional here) for THEIR news of the week. And the world will keep on a spinnin'....

You can make as much delivering Pizza and you know it. So, the arguement that you need the money is B.S. You want to fly an airplane, and are willing to accept crap money to do it. Don't be ashamed of it, just about everybody else is doing the same thign too... that's why managements can do what they are doing to Midwest with RAH.
If you can't admit that, then you've got blinders on
