Comair was all 5K numbers until this month, we changed to 6K flight numbers... who knows...

Roswell is gorgeous, I live just north of the river.

I take Marta from the Sandy Springs station seeing my wife works in the building just above it (I park in her parking structure). I'm not a fan of Marta but it does save me over $250 in fuel each month.

Yes and if you go over 24 hours it's just $4 per day. But I now park in my wife’s structure that's at the corner of Peachtree Dunwoody Rd and Abernathy; it’s completely FREE with her company pass and seeing that I fly 4 day trips.................I'm saving a lot of money as well as wear and tear on my truck!

The reason for the flight number change stated in the ASA email had to do with the impending merger to open up numbers for some of the Northwest/Airlink stuff I believe. I'll look for the actual e-mail and quote it.

Our then President was an ALPA supporter and a huge pilot advocate. He (our then SAPA Pres.) tried to hold BH and Mgmnt accountable for their promises and policies. They say that you could hear him yelling at BH from the other side of St. George telling him that if SKW wants to remain union free they better start holding up their end, BH was a true road block in our progress. The best part was that once BH had left and we got a new SAPA president, we ended up with almost everything our then President was working for.

We had a good relationship with Mgmnt when Holt was here, but now that he's gone we have a good working relationship with Mgmnt.
Our current SAPA President is a great guy but our then SAPA President was exactly who we needed to deal with Brad "Stone Wall" Holt. It was BS what BH and Mgmnt did to him causing him to fear for his job and eventually resign after accepting a new position at Alaska Airlines.

Holt's a tried & true "Jerry's Kid" and he'll give all of you at ASA no more than what Jerry's willing to give up. But understand that Mgmnt truly cares about their employees and they’ve proved it time and time again. Once I needed off early to make a FLT home when my kid came down ill, they let me off and (without asking) they positive spaced me.

I've had Jerry Atkins in my jumpseat a few times in and out of SGU and the guy has a lot of respect for his employees. He’s told us several times that we all deserve more but it's a numbers game and we all have to play it. In the end all of you at ASA will learn to respect our Mgmnt team for their dedication to our future and their employee’s future. You can see what I mean by the fact that even after your TA has been approved they are continuing to improve life at ASA whereas most airlines will never go above what they have agreed to in a forced TA. They also haven’t announced any furloughs which should tell you that they would rather dip into their huge reserve (something like $1.3B in the bank & growing) in order to maintain high moral and high employee/employer satisfaction than place one person on the street.

People often tell us that we at SKW are drinking way to much Kool-Aid, well we are but there’s a good reason for it.

BTW, I voted yes for ALPA.

Well, Here is what things look like to me....

BH is at least somewhat COMPETENT..... That is something we have never, ever had here at ASA. You would not believe all the clowns we have had in charge thru the years.

BH is mgmt, of course-so he will not always give you the moon and the stars. BUT-He does communicate, and if you send him an e-mail, stuff will happen (if you have a good gripe.)

In the past, we have had goons who were so cheap they would not even get a 1-800 number for dispatch or scheduling. No crap-when I was new, if you were DFW-based and needed to talk to someone in ATL on company business (even sked and dispatch), you had to pay for the freaking call yourself!

Then came DAL. I thought they would fix all our troubles! Boy, I sure was wrong!! Those guys sent over the two biggest goombahs you ever have seen. SB and BL ran this place like complete retards! Those DAL flunkies had a bunch of money to throw around, but mainly spent it all on GO people..... I remember one time we had a "Annual Award of Blah, Blah, Blah" the purpose of this reward was to give something cool to everyday working slobs...... Anyhow, the grand prize for all the people who won that (about 25 or so) was a week at a resort in Cancun (on the company.) I was thinking "awesome, we will finally see some everyday folks getting something cool." I opened our little ASA publication to see who the winners were, and damn if every single one of them was not a G.O. jerkoff!! Every single one!!!! So much for the little guy! Anyhow, the G.O. just turned into a money-splurging hell-hole under DAL leadership... It was a huge mess! Our on-time performance was crap, our morale was horrible, and we were all unhappy. The only people who enjoyed those times were in that G.O. building, all slapping one another on the back and congratulating each other on their great work!

All I can say for sure is that BH is light-years ahead of what we have had! He might not be perfect, he might not be a true pilot cheerleader but damn if he isn't doing a whole hell of a lot better than what we have had! So, I think it may be a matter of perspective-when your expectations are so low, maybe it is not so hard to impress....

-As for me, I think Brad is OK so far-time will tell, but things are really looking up for morale among most people I know. Our performance numbers are way better than they were.. I have always said that we have all the ingredients of a good airline, we just needed someone running things to put it all together-I really think Brad may be that guy!

The very first time I parked in the lot, not ONE ASA pilot would talk to us. I didn't care that much, I'm proud to be working for SKW; but over time I could see that change was happening and it was/is for the good.

Best of luck to all our brother at ASA.
Or maybe you got passes because SkyWest opened up an ATL crew base then? Ya Think?

Maybe ASA was so screwed up before Brad that he looked like our savior compared to the past "leaders". SkyWest, OTH has always had a good labor-management relationship, so BH being a little bullish while following orders came off badly.

ATL was opened on April 1st of 07 as a reserve base (with only 3 reserve lines) and then as a line domicile (with 17 lines) three months later on July 1st; we didn't get Lot C passes until 08 and I believe BH's first day at ASA was on December 1st of 07. Also ASA had been under SKW Mgmnt's control for almost 2 years when ATL opened. Actually we didn't have any parking until September/Octoberish when we started receiving passes to Prefight.

So I know what I’m talking about, I was the #2 line holder there for almost a year until I accepted upgrade.

PS. I should have phrased my previous posting this way: "after BH took over and RG called him about our problem, we had ATL passes the next day." But then again RG and BH are extremely good friends, boarder line best buds.
