When I first disclosed last week that a maintenance worker confirmed this report, he told us that ATL would be a MX base for sure, but a pilot base was not confirmed. The base where these aircraft will be is yet to be determined, but they were leaning DTW.

I find it very ironic how the Memo mentions your great performance in October. 5 100% completion days. Comair did 22 100% completion days in a row in October. Comair had 25 100% completion days in October total. As of November 4th comair has 64 100% completion days for the year. All while operating out of JFK.
Its not the Mesaba guys fault and I wish them well. Better you have the airplanes than Mesa. Welcome to the DCI family. I just hope Delta realizes that comair does provide a good product.

thats not why they were awarded these. They have snap back provisions that put their pay rates right at or above comair's starting in Dec. Now their average longevity helped alot.

Congrats XJ. From a standpoint of a DCI carrier employee myself you folks may have survived week one of "DCI SURVIVOR".

How many total pilots does Mesaba staff per a/c for planning?

Nicholas - nice cheap shot about the pay. Now why don't you tell everyone who doesn't know... WHY our pay is what it is. I'll help you... The rates are based on our 2004 contract, then a little thing called Ch11 happened. Nevermind that your rates are new and not negotiated in bankruptcy. As someone else mentioned, our wages are snapping back to pre Ch11 wages and our work rules support the pay. I'd much rather have a slightly lower wage with solid rules to support them than a high wage and the ability to watch them wash away without work rules. Nobody at XJ sent ourselves, our contract or our brothers down the river for these jets. I know... it's hard to deal with the reality.
Oh... Liog41 - we staff at about 9 pilots per plane.
