Beef Island will be too short, and even if the performance charts show it as doable then the rest of the facilities at the airport will be insufficient.
Customs and Immigration can't even handle an ATR let alone anything bigger.
Dominica and Anguilla are the same way.
If it does happen then brush up on your NDB's boys.

Couldn't imagine that Beef Island NDB approach in an ERJ. No way in hell!

Just did Key West in the 170. Flaps 2 and like 50 some odd people and took freight back to CLT. There are practically no weight restrictions going in or out of there on that bird.

That's the E170. Completly different bird. I had NO doubts the E170 could do it. And again, that's Key West. It's not island hopping. Thanks for the into though.

Also, key west is flat land man. Numbers are calculated by single engine go-around. Lots of pretty mountains around there thats what will probably give alot of the restrictions.

ERJs around the Caribbean? If there is a cost-effective way to do it, AMR would have already done it.

Its amazing how fuel gets cheaper and management gets dumber.

While normally I’d tend to agree with you, in this case I’d guess it’s the baseless rumors that are getting dumber.

Is that meant to be cute?
Comair CRJ700s stopped flying into EYW one day before CHQ ERJ-135s started flying into EYW.
