The wheels are coming off at Pinnacle

Unfortunately it came from a reliable source. Hopefully something will change soon to preclude this from happening.

It's kind of hard to believe Pinnacle wants to displace 31 CA when i flew 77 hrs this month on reserve. If this is true, i'm hoping those numbers are before LOA.

I noticed the other day there approximately 82 more captains than fo's which would mean about 41 displacements to even things out. Minus another 10 or so check airmen which would bring it to about 31 displacements. So this number is based without LOA's, or maybe there were just no takers. The information I got was 31 diplacements which includes myself.

31 captains, but from where? 10 a base or what?

All our displacements are seniority based. I don't have it in front of me but take a look at the ALPA CBA and the displacements are clearly explained. This would be the same situation as the last displacement (ATL was the only opening to funnel folks into. I would expect most to try and stay in their current base for QOL unless they are commuters and can get to ATL for the higher pay. Just my thoughts. The displacement would take the lowest 31 seniority # CA's systemwide, with the opportunity for more senior folks to OFFER to take a voluntary displacement. Time will tell..

I hope everything goes well for the regionals flying for delta and specially pinnacle in the new 2009 calendar year as we all look forward to some good news in one way or another.
One thing for sure (actually let me rephrase that.. since nothing is certain in this industry).. So one thing can be predicted, that with all these talks of displacements and all within 9E, i highly doubt we'll see those NH classes for a long time.. at least not till fall or maybe even after unless there is growth or that pilot contract. Rumors were that they would start in late spring, maybe one class or two in march/april, now I really don't think thats going to happen. Good luck to everyone and best wishes.. Happy New Year!!
