Post your source please, otherwise this is just flamebait. Somewhat hard to believe since ASA is accepting voluntary furloughs.

What did they mean by, "Also beginning on February 19, we will operate all five aircraft from Salt Lake City, serving eight markets from Delta’s western hub." How will this affect crews, etc? Would the crews have to deadhead or.....? (excuse my ignorance)

It's on the Mesaba employee website, a letter written by John Spanjers. It just came out today, not flamebait at all.

Post the source...I thought I just did when I said company website. If you want more specific, it is the "Mesaba" company website.

I agree. Especially if it's true.

It's on Mymesaba (company employee website) 10 of the 15 Freedom 900's reallocated to ASA at the expense of 20 of their 200's (ie. - 10 airframes for ASA) The other 5 to be delivered in FEB and MAR as planned but to all be operated out of SLC. Basically for Mesaba, if you aren't already on property, you probably won't be anytime soon. For the FO's that I flew with that I tried to tell not to get too excited til the planes are in service here.... well I told ya so. Don't plan on any expansion til it's already done. Look at this current fiasco now. Started with 14 from Freedom, nope take them and give them to Comair, a week later, nevermind they (+1 extra) all go to Mesaba, a month later uh no how bout only 5 there and 10 to ASA (Oh but at the cost of taking away 20 other planes to send to the desert).
Anyone else sick of this merger yet? What a flippin goat rodeo....

Probably because it's still an overall loss of 10 airplanes.
