Perhaps not, but the door has to be closed and the brake released. You can only do this if everyone is on board, gate pulled, etc. If you're even a minute late, ACARS shows it (we can't change ours like someone implied).
you say no, and as sure as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west when your out time comes up as +25, it miraculously gets coded by ops as a crew delay. |

You can fudge your times all you want, that's not going to fix your operation the majors aren't stupid they compare the times, it just might give you a few more minutes of pay. You guys must be professionals at that huh? Pretty sad. This is the reason why you guys are where you are. No major believes in your operation with most wanting to get rid of you guys, including the worlds largest airline. Airways express, doesn't use ACARS, curious at to what the real numbers would be there as well.

YEAAAA LETS ALL BASH MESA!!!!! It amazes me how you guys always make your predictions and then they turn out to be wrong (to all the bashers). On a bright note, we recieved an email from our furlough rep saying there maybe possible recalls in Late March or Early April. Im not banking to much on it happening, but it would be nice. Anyhow I think I will let you guys get back to your bashing and hoping that a company with lots of employees who have families to support and bills to pay goes out of business.
IMO living under the provisions that MAG provides is not really living. Raise up and cast off your oppressors. :-) |

what all the mesa bashers dont seem to get is that actual mesa pilots hate the company as much if not more. but when there's no where to go you cant leave so you might as well try and soak up as many hours as possible before egress becomes possible.

Am I confused, or are you a mod? I know being one doesn't take away your right to post your feelings, however, you should try to raise yourself above the scum on the boards you "police." I use the term police loosely since you seem to use your position to talk down to people, drive bandwagons, and state your feelings to be interpreted as fact (read: anything regarding Mesa). You're going to disagree with me, and that's just fine. You might even get to give me a warning, or better yet ban me, and keep your squad of flamebait warriors close by your side. You're experience at Mesa, some 6-8 years ago, does not even border on accurate any longer. You pollute threads that concern Mesa with your ancient experiences, and these false tales only drive the 18-21 year old pilots in the industry (who couldn't drive when you were at Mesa) to wish ill on myself and my fellow pilots. Stick to the threads about how Skywest changed your life, unions are worthless, experiencing a mid-life crisis at the regionals, and other such topics that you can further the spread of information via your opinions, rather than creating an army of young men who know no better than to will another airline out of business. Muushin- I have trouble understanding your reasoning behind posting about how terrible our pilots are, when you didn't have what it took to complete training here less than 3 years ago. I find it ironic, and you're making yourself look worse by doing it. |

It was on these boards where someone was saying he had a death or near death in the family and he was forced to keep flying his schedule at Mesa or he would be fired, until his CA intervened. That is ridiculous. |

We don't need Ricksair, I've got friends at Mesa. They tell me everyday how wonderful their life is. And not to mention what other pilots there think about their company. It's not very pretty, I think Mesa maybe the only case where the employees are not too worried about the place shutting down as it might be a relief. How great can a company like that be? Any company that was and probably still is OK with having camping trips on dirty airplanes, providing their work force with 8 days off so they could overwork them like livestock and insult them and others by saying they are some of the highest paid regional pilots should have been gone long ago.
Rick is more accurate than your sources. |
