MAG Payroll SNAFU
#1
If anybody has been on Mars and is still wondering what it's like to work for a messed up company like Mesa, take a look at my recent paycheck. What I thought was an adjustment check to cover our recent contract's fab new "scheduled-or-better" instead turned out to be an OVERPAYMENT due to payroll's mistake. Their mistake has now become MY problem. Take a look at this screenshot of my direct deposit account at WFargo (should be WTFFargo):

Notice the two deposits, followed by a "reversal" then an overdraft protection which maxed-out my credit card and a final balance of $-1,187.07!!! After I calmed down and called a WF banker I realized that when I signed up for DD I authorized MAG to pull money out of my account.
Wow. Time to go back to paper deposits I suppose. No, actually it's time to get the heck out of MAG and get a better job. Hello, Skywest? Yooo hooo! Yes, I will gladly throw away 5+ years of seniority and four stripes into the trashcan and start over, preferably in the right seat of the EMB-120. Get me OUTTA here PLEASE! I'm going nutz!
Comments? Has this happened at your company?

Well If I get an additonal deposit in that amount from my company; I will be a little cautious about it before I go and spend it. I wont go and use it the same day. DUUUUO... I understand you had payments to do but you were not expecting it anyways. Well it is only one person to blame and it is you .... oh well you work for Freedom not further comment

Flying High and The Dude should write a book. I had no idea you can pick the company to work for. Tomorrow morning, I think I will start work at WN. Nevermind that you have a family to feed, or the whole economy is crippled, you should quit working for Freedom. Come on guys. It seems most of the trashtalkers on here were hired during the hiring boom, and lack any seniority or experience. It's funny when FOs with 250 hours complain about how bad things are. You should have 4 times that in dual given.

ERJ,
unfortunately once you have DD, the company can and will pull funds out if they make a mistake. I usually always transfer from one account to another that they can't touch as soon as the money hits. That way I can have a little more control over when they get their $$ back should a mistake been made.

ERJ,
I'm very sorry to see this. Being put in debt hopelessly is a terrible feeling. I flew twin Cessna's for a P135 company in the US that bounced an entire series of my paychecks, got me over drafted, and then refused to cover the fees for me. I left that company as soon as I responsibly could. I hope SkyWest opens a door for you... keep an eye on United.
Your in my prayers, sir!
