What is US Airways' seat scope limit? They could get those things (Mesa would fly them) and throw a few rows of first class seats in order to meet the scope requirements. Isn't that what Delta did with the CRJ-900? Lets hope I am terribly wrong!

No first class allowed on Express carriers at US so no worries.

It looks bigger in that picture!! More noticeable than the stretched forward fuselage is the rear, with the absence of a few portholes there...And the registration's the same number we saw, so there's no mistaking it...So I guess in this now global-economy, I suppose trans-con can almost be called "Regional," eh?!

Always a suprise with the winds down there -- and it sounded like they were testing for tailwind takeoffs, blasting off 19L. How do I get that job?! LoL

Lear and bombardier does do all their flight testing here and the cosswinds here aren't that bad. Bombardier has a position on their website or at least they did for Senior test pilot. I think all you needed was a type rating in at least one of their products which obviously you should qualify. Also check out Hawker Beech Craft they do a lot of testing as well out of ICT and beech field.

Best of luck

I remember seeing a CRJ700 back in 2000 and wondering the same questions.

And Boeing didn't think there was a market for the 717.
