Visual Approach

If you go No Comm, just use your head and do what you think ATC is expecting you to do. Stay in the Class B, so TRACON can get other aircraft out of your way. Enter a pattern and land. ATC will start separating other aircraft from you when it's apparent you are No Comm and/or squawking 7600.

Do you have Delta specific charts? My SFO plates say "No missed Approach Procedure, in event of a go around on 28L turn left 265 or on 28R turn right 310 climb and maintain 3000 or as directed by ATC."

Some controllers will issue the published MAP on a visual because they assume that you will be backing-up the visual with the instrument approach procedure and that you will have briefed and be ready for that specific MAP. I'm not saying that this is right or wrong. Most of the time you will just receive vectors.

I just looked at the plate and noticed the "No Missed Approach Procedure" note at the top! I always thought of the go around procedure as a missed approach procedure. I stand corrected! Thanks!
