Rumor has it that we (RAH) will be hiring like mad in the fall with this new CoEx deal. Heard 100 per month planned at Flight Safety. Good luck. I think back to my interview and laugh at what a bunch of BS it really is.

rytheflyguy, when you go to STL for training make sure you sign up for a fridge asap (at the hotel, $10) and if you can bring a car that will be very convenient for you. Not much healthy food around the hotel, flight safety is a 3 minute walk. Just thought I would give you the scoop, goodluck in training.
if you want more info PM me.

I apologize if this has been discussed previously, but do new hires at RAH get paid monthly guarantee from day one of class or is there some other sort of "training" pay or none at all? How commutable are the junior lines? Are they typically afternoon starts and ends or am I looking at crash pad required coming from MSP?
Thanks a bunch.

To answer a couple of questions...
I think we are still hiring a few on the 170 right now. I'll probably be headed over that way in the Fall (seat locked for 2 years). You can always go to the 145 as an FO and upgrade to the 170. The pay is the same. Hopefully within the next couple of years we will just become Republic Airways and have 1 certificate. No more Shupubliqua. There are rumors floating around that we will be getting a lot more 170s for Delta here pretty soon once they get their TA straightened out.
As far as commuting from MSP, STL would be your choice base. It's one of our few bases that actually is a hub as opposed to an outstation (in terms of where turns originate) and therefore the trips are much better and commutable. Show times are across the board generally, but typically only the outstation bases have the 5AM stuff (ick). The only thing about STL is that if you upgrade there you will be getting paid the 140 capt. rate which averages about $7 lower than the 145 and I think about $11 below the 170.
Good luck...
Oh yeah, training pay is horrible. When I went through 3.5 years ago it was about $200/week.

. We only got $125 a week, that's the current training pay.

You mentioned that RAH will have 1 certificate. Does this mean that they will only be flying for Delta under the Delta Connection alliance or does that include other airlines that operate under the Delta Connection alliance? This is a issue that has been confusing to me.
For example, when hired by RAH, under the Delta Connection, I could be flying an a/c with USAir, CAL, or United markings...correct?

XJ's fate is still hanging in the balance and there is NO indication if recalls are coming sooner than later. RAH seems like a great place to start over, new deliveries, decent pay in yrs 2 and up, and a DIVERSIFIED business plan that includes more than one bloody mainline partner.
How long is reserve running for new hires based on current numbers? Anyone know if RAH is in the running for the NWA CRJ flying? I don't even know if they were a bidder. NWA is still tight lipped about the RFP results, if they have even made a decision yet.

Thanks for the info etops!
Corp - I'd send again. According to a friend that works in the office there, they had an HR transistion at the end of February and apparently resumes sent to the prior person did not make it to the new person. Good luck!
