Or if he waits to long and the stock tanks to below .04 he could sell and take the loss of capitol gains and deduct it from his income tax.

Well depending on his account his fees could be as low as $9.00 for buy and sell. So after commission that would leave $1982. Now if its any type of retirement account there is no short term CG. But assuming its not he will be hit with STCG tax of 35% so he could net $1288.

Now you are a smart young man my friend. I will have to admit that a .04 cent stock should only be bought if you understand the markets well. And in your case a "stop loss order" is what will insure you make money on such stock. I will have to admit i almost bought mesa stock because it was reaaly cheap, but I ended up buying something else that is not doing too shabby either. Keep making that money while they spectate!

buying a hundred bucks worth is a better investment then buying the same amount of powerball tickets. besides we all know that after a complete nuclear war the only things left will be cockroaches and Mesa. JO is a criminal genious. when I hear his name I think of Dr.evil sucking his pinky. One Meeeelion dollars...LOL

And while I can’t come anywhere close to that Detroit bungalow’s price with a big company, I’m afraid some big companies fetch far less than these at the moment. Phoenix-based Mesa Air Group (MESA: 0.12*, -0.03, -20.43%), with a fleet of more than 150 aircraft and flights to 39 states, sells for less than $5 million, if you want to tackle its more than $500 million in debt.

And you can't argue with that fact!
Mesa is going to die, whether DAL drops them or not.

Goldman Sachs bought about $25,000 worth of stock in Feb. You think you know better than them? They've made about 40K in one month. I wasn't too sure about mesa stock but the series of events the last few months and the fact that they're moved flying to CVG, they're not going anywhere. And it's kind of scary but that saying about nuclear holocaust and mesa surviving it might be true, I'm sure other companies would have called it quits a long time ago. But the stock is so cheap anyways, it's hard not to buy.

I believe someone already stated why Mesa is being moved to CVG. It is because Freedom's performance in JFK is atrocious. DAL can't get rid of Freedom (yet), so they are putting them where they can have the least negative impact on DAL, CVG, a hub that is shrinking and will most likely (according to rumors) be dropped as a DAL hub by the end of 2009. Comair's majority of op's are being moved to JFK to replace Freedom because not only does Comair perform better at JFK, they are wholly owned pawns of DAL and have no say in where they operate.

Oh yeah, almost forgot:

Also heard that while Delta is in court with Mesa, they are also kicking Comair out of CVG and moving Mesa there.

My question is, why would you do this to someone you are sueing if you didnt think the case was going to go bad against you (Delta loses...)..

sooooooooo, BUY BABY BUY!!

take it for what it is worth, but you guys need to get in on some of this action.

I know there are the Mesa haters out there, and personally I dont care what you think of the airline, I just think you stand to make some money in this deal!!!

good luck!

Jeff
You are excited about a stock that is trading at $0.14 and a company that is loaded with debts. You should not be giving any investment advise. You have no clue on what you are talking about.

If he went from 4 to 14 he just almost quadrupled his investment. Mesa is not going anywhere a lot of people, and I don't mean regional pilots, have invested in this company so prospects are good.
