And which US legacy carrier is allowing that right now...I forget.

If you are being sarcastic, I think you misread what I wrote. I said the idea of any regional flying those things on behalf of a legacy is not possible.

Never say never!!!
Or in this case... "not possible".
Unfortunately, ANYTHING is possible.:(

Didn't RAH just recently apply for a Cert to fly self branded?

Kinda like that east coast regional.....uhhhh Independance Air?....REMEMBER? I am sure you don't. So much for self branding.

No, I was serious....just did not know if any legacy airlines had released scope at that level. If they do, Plan on staying at the regionals for life.

Who says they have to fly them for mainline or branded...if they just buy a mainline carrier.

Buying Midwest would give them a 4th certificate to fly 190's etc on. They pretty much already do all Midwest's flying anyway.

This situation would suck.

Unfortunately, I think the Reverend set a precedent that many may try to copy. All we can do now is protect ourselves through our contracts, and hope that more "Lorenzo's" don't appear in the horizon.

Oh and by the way, if you're at a regional, and you're excited about getting 190's, you've got serious entitlement issues, and no ability to see forward into your future and your career.

Don't think you'll find many regional pilots looking for 190 aircraft at their airline.....but, you never know.....still hope we don't see them around any regional for a very very very long time. ....

Actually I remember them quite well. I was looking forward to interviewing there. Then they died. THE END.
But history seems to dictate a new airline either new or branded pops up ever few years and we are about due for someone to try again.
