actually the guys at the regionals do not have any say in the issue....it is totally dependant on the guys at the majors and if they give it up...I really cannot see that happening.

Currently on our contract at Delta, the EMB190 & 195 are on the mainline contact and pay chart. We have a weight limit of 86K pounds for our regional sub-contractors with a waiver for 36 EMB-175's at Compass with a limit of 89K pounds. That the way it is until we have a new contract or we agree to a side letter to give away all of our narrow body flying (Don't hold your breath). Don't think it's going to happen. The tide has changed within our pilot group/union/ and company. 90-120 seats will be at mainline. Sorry boys & girls. Come on in the water is fine!!!!!!

... an RAH flight attendant said that water was pretty cold, but that could just be a rumor.

If it was in the coffee on RAH flights, then I can confirm that rumor.

It depends on the equipment, market and codeshares. It's coming, so brace yourself for it.

You almost seem excited about it! I could be wrong, and if so, please accept my apologies; but no regional pilot should ever be happy to see 190's on property. It's a mainline aircraft, codeshare or not, so for the sake of this profession, I hope you're wrong.

They (190's) could always go to Hawaii and put GO! outta biz. Don't need to be at mainline to do that...As for the rest RAH is giving money out like candy to their past and present mainline partners. This may be leverage to squeak some 190's in through the cracks...

Respectfully, I really hope your wrong, otherwise you might as well settle in your "barbie jet", cause you're not going anywhere.

I hope I am wrong as well! Anything more than 66 seats is hazardous to my career progression. It's tough to see Mainline flying chipped away one E-jet at a time...
