Default Comair Recall updates?

Hello fellow Comair pilots. I am on furlough no big shock there just wondering if anyone has herd some positive news? Just curious to see that when management lets the early retires actually leave if the will recall the 30 to 40 that have taken the early leave? I just got hired at great lakes havent signed the contrat yet. Just trying to get the news before I do. Stay well.

I have a feeling something has to happen. They can't (but probably will try to) run this summer losing 33 from voluntary buyouts and 20-30 who have (rumored) quit rather than commute to JFK. Add problems commuting and a few more people giving up after a month or two commuting it's going to be quite nasty for those who are forced into picking up the slack.

Spoke to a friend in scheduling, she said that attrition is averaging 1 per month. I think the rumor of 20-30 quitting because of the displacement is false.

Maybe it's true, I asked her directly about it and she didn't know if 20-30 quit or not. She just said they are losing about 1 per month and that they are severely short staffed.

Yea, regardless I can't imagine they won't recall..I don't think they're going to have a choice "creative scheduling" can only go so far.

Yes..OPTIMISM!!! I can't believe it either!

What everyone is forgetting is they are expecting a reduction in flying come Aug/Sept. Thats why they are so afraid to do anything (upgrade or recall). Prior to this summer flying we got they were about to furlough again.

So even if we only drop back to winter levels the early outs and rumored quits will only off set another furlough.

I hope Im wrong!

Having said that we are only 7 days into the month and I have over 20 hours already. Im in the middle of a 4 day worth another 20.
