I made $25k in 2006 at Air Wisconsin on first year pay; I was hired in early January and was a lineholder for the last 7 months of the year.

Have you considered the military route? Pays multiple times better, 10 year commitment, then off to where ever you want to be (aviation or not)!

You may be prone to SJS check with your local AME. It's a pandemic for which there is no cure, the trick is early prevention.

That doesn't make any sense.

10 yard penalty for using an overused come-back in the wrong situation.

It is all I have done for 10 years, and I didn't expect to see all four of my former employers go belly up.

No, it isn't a good return on investment. So, stay away! And tell everyone you see how bad it is so they will go away too! If no new applicants come along, maybe, just maybe, in five or ten years, the pay will start to climb.

(Old Joke):
What is the difference between a Large Pizza and a Regional Pilot?

The Pizza can feed a family of four.

Haha!!! I had that EXACT same thought this morning driving to the airport. I was sitting at a red light watching a CAL 737 blast off with "House of the Rising Sun" playing in the car.

Oh mother tell your children
Not to do what I have done
Spend your lives in sin and misery
In the House of the Rising Sun

Well, I got one foot on the platform
The other foot on the train
I'm goin' back to New Orleans
To wear that ball and chain

Well, there is a house in New Orleans
They call the Rising Sun
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy
And God I know I'm one

One of those poignant moments you had to be there for I guess. That said, I'll take poor and loving live vs. rich and hating it any day of the week.
