It is so ridiculous to make any argument that either of their previous jobs had anything to do with this tragedy.

They were both trained to proficiency on the Q400 at Colgan. Does that mean Colgan's training must be bad? no. They both just F'ed up and unfortunately the worst happened.

Colgan is partly responsible, the training I recived at XJT was SUUUUUUUUUUUPERIOR to that of Colgans program...........heck my instroctor (who was canned for busting P-56) forgot to teach my sim partner and I about TCAS and RA's in the sim, we had to have or Check Airmen teach us on our Sim ride

yes, walking into XJT after Colgan was like going from community college to Harvard as far as I am concerned, from Colgans over-photo-copied bootleg class sheets to our instructor not being up to speed on running a sim etc
