ABC news wants to hear from you

Let ALPA do the talking? I'm not sure if that was supposed to be a joke or not. They would be more worried about getting sued than doing any talking on our part.
They should have started the talking a long time ago..-before the problems occurred.

yea I agree...they will probably turn your words around into something you didn't say like always and just bring in their "aviation expert" to say otherwise...
I think its good that the public is now finding out how much crap regional guys have to deal with but everyone knows nothing will change from this...we will end up getting screwed somehow in the end...
I would say not worth it at all to contact ABC

Listen to all these folks point the finger now in supposed disbelief, what a charade. For years regional QOL has been a KNOWN problem to so many professional and government organizations.
Now these organizations wanna play sheriff? HA!

I gave them my email address. Im curious to hear what they have to say.
And I know, im not actually going to give them an interview that spotlights myself of my company, as if my company needs any more spotlight. I wouldnt mind telling them what my W2 said last year.
I have read alot of the readers comments in the pay articles and repeatedly I see stuff like..."You MORONS, read between the lines, they said she made 16K and THEN went on to say she made $21/hr. Do the math, thats over 45K per year!"

If you dont work for a regional anymore, I think you absolutley SHOULD speak out. Everybody on these forums sits here and gripes about how poor the pay and lifestyle is at the regional airlines. Simultaneously you tell people on these forums to remain quiet? How do you expect anything to ever change? The union obviously isnt doing anything for you. The media doesnt know much about aviation indeed. They misjudge and misinterrpet alot. Why dont you go on and give them some valuable information for a change.
If you dont act about it, nothing will ever change. Why let alpa speak for you? Have they ever done anything for you? I think many of you that are receiving these low wages are overestimating the power and effectivness of ALPA. Remember, alpa needs to serve its interests. You can make a change, and this is an opportunity to act. You do not under any circumstance need to name your company specificacally.

I think one thing that the media really needs to understand is that if pilots had better career earning power then guys who were sharp, professional and have 'the right stuff' will start coming back into this career field.
Public sentiment seems to be "well they want more money - but why should i pay them more to fly me safely to my destination?"
A majority of the media seems to be missing the point altogether with respect to who chooses to become a pilot in the first place.
