Didn't realize this was part of a job action. It's a tough business for us all.

You aren't very up to date are you? If that is their plan then they need to start to recall the guys that mesaba is about to start furloughing in August.

Management has been playing scare tactics for way to long. I am still suprised there are guys here who fall for it. Pinnacle isn't getting axed by delta. Pinnacle is unfortunatly the cheapest most effecient regional for delta, and I believe we are now the second largest carrier for delta. We did a little over 33 percent of Northwest's lift before the merger so that is a good chunk if they decided to get rid of us. Plus Delta has made it clear where the cuts are going to come from and so far it isn't the contracted carriers but the wholly owneds that are taking the beating. I am not saying we wont take one either. I do feel that by the end of this year there is a good chance pinnacle and skywest will have to furlough. We just found out that when the numbers were broken down we are about 50 to 100 pilots heavy for the planned flying this fall. We have also implemented Reduced Availability Lines that I know I plan on taking advantage of in August. These cutbacks are coming pilot contract or not. Dont let them tell you otherwise.

For what its worth. Goal in the above charts is MANAGEMENTS goal for their bonuses. NOT the minimum contract performance levels.

I figured there would be a few people who are pansys posting "oh no, don't u want your jobs?" There a two posts in this thread showing exactly why this profession is in a race to the bottom...

We'd all rather SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN, than continue working under these HORRIBLE, TEN YEAR OLD RULES!

The RACE FOR THE BOTTOM started when airline CEOs took more in bonuses....reduced the fares to bargin basement rates and then devalued yours and mine living buy then saying....were going BROKE...we need wage concession so we can continue to devalue your wages with even lower fares.

I suppose you think it fine that a company can spend four years negotiating with a group of employees and and not reached agreement because they are not going to the table in good faith.....How many $$$$'s have been spent retrainning right seaters because pilots can go elsewhere and make a better living....Ill bet that management has spent more than if they would have settled this in the very beginning....and what about the cost of moral??? for a long while Pinnacle was losing a Pilot a day

Again your clueless. Training is a flow-thru cost DIRECTLY to NWA(DELTA NOW).

All we are waiting for right now is magical words from the mediator. We are the first to go under Obama appointed mediators. I am not saying we will get released but there is a chance. Anyone know when this mediator is supposed to get back to us?

I heard tomorrow...they met on Monday and will resume on tomorrow and should have a decision to either release or make us stick it out....

I think its kinda of up in the air...seeing how there is only one more thing left to figure out and then we have a TA. If I were the mediator I would say "Grow up both sides and just figure it out"...but I am not the mediator.

I hope they release to speed up the process though...ahhh well....Tailwinds!!!

If you think Delta actually cares about performance numbers at all you are sadly mistaken.

If they tell us to stick it out, its going to be a very long process unless they feel they have to sign............
