For what its worth.... I turned down an interview with Lynx for the 1st. Recruiter told me that they were hiring for a 13 July class... was not definite on the size. Did indicate they were only looking at applicants with in her words..... "a couple thousand hours or so...".....

Hope it works out for a few people....

well, they must be really hurting-- they called my buddy on the 30th-- for a 1st interview-- he told them thats not enough time and that he was going on vacation with his family that they had planned for some time-- He asked for another date and the HR person gave him the cold shoulder.

Nice. Reall nice.

Any harbor in a storm...

...and its easier to get a job when you have a job.

That said, every opening isn't for every pilot...and at least this is one more vacancy that an out-of-work pilot can fill.

Times are tough. There's an F16 driver flying FO at lynx right now.

yeah, the f16 hotshot is one helluva great guy.
Even if he is an air force turd.

I am not sure why anyone would fly for lynx. Yeah, it is a job. But, for how long? Lots of questions remain for lynx.

Lynx has always been a place with lots of questions. I would guess a majority of the pilots were hired before they even flew one paying passenger. How's that for betting the farm?

I can't say I blame them. From what I've heard they are hiring for one class and in this job market, they have absolutely no incentive to move interview days or class dates around.

I'm sure it wasn't personal, I bet all the recruiter did was go on to the next resume in the pile. Sad but true.

OMG!!!! A fighter pilot lowered themselves to being an FO at a regional? They didn't get an automatic upgrade? What is this world coming to? Now the sky truly is falling. Hate to break it to you, but there are airforce pilots from all sorts of aircraft flying as FO's at the regionals. I flew with a retired C17 aircraft commander the other day as my FO, it happens.

Stop it - ur making me blush....

We have quite a few ex-mil: F-18 (granted if he is a Hornet driver his skills are in question ), U-2/T-38's, S-3's, A-10's, etc.... Everyone I've flown with both Civ and Mil has been extremely sharp.
