The passion is flying, not the money. $37.00/hr sucks compared to what we were making. I have no control over that so I don't worry about it. When the industry opens up again if I'm not happy working for Republic I will evaluate my options. Until then, lets work to getting a fair integration for all.
Stop looking in the rear view mirror and start looking forward. It is what it is.

As a 13 year furloughed Midwest Captain. I hope the meetings this week between the pilot groups are productive.
Did the careers of the Midwest pilot group blow up in their face? YES
Did they have anything to do with that? NO
Did the Republic pilots have anything to do with that? NO
It is what it is. It's time to work together to make Republic Airlines a proud place to work.
Lets do it together.

Its funny to read hateful rambling posts written by people who work for neither RAH or Midwest.

Midwest Air Group also has another senority list still on Furlough, Skyway and their pilots. Still under furlough protection and fighting for seats

I welcome you to join in and yes, you do deserve a seat in this "New" airline. You got hosed also, however, it was by Skywest that did you in more than Republic even though those ugly little lawn darts are now flying around and trashing our once proud colors. It is sad to see what has happen to our airline in the name of Greed.

I would like both airlines to work together, but Republic pilots have to recognize the fact that BB/TPG/Delta used them to undermine the Midwest pilot contract.
-- BB/Delta had Fleet Restructuring meetings in July 2008 and weeks later the Midwest fleet changes were announced.
-- America and Delta use the MD80 as the backbone of their airline, but Midwest cannot use fully paid off MD80s after Sept 2008. Northwest is still flying DC9s!
-- NWA/Delta block AirTrans growth plan with $450M and months later give the keys to BB (with a Delta code-share) for 31M.
Why?

No offense whodee, but the majority of the Republic pilots didn't give a sack of sh-- about the pilots of YX and they still don't care. They gladly took our flying, your job with a smile on their face. We have a contract. That contract will be enforced. In court of law if need be. These people have stole your job. How many times have you seen them protesting and walking the line last Fall? Maybe two or three of them. The rest were to scared to show their face in the D Concourse. They still duck into bathrooms and closets when they see a Midwest Crew coming their way. You owe them nothing. Your seniority should be what matters. I couldn't care less about them myself. I have absolutely no use for them. They are the "IT in It is what it is".

Another RAH/YX ***** fest...
RAH is not the cancer of the industry. This BS, however, is a problem. It's truly depressing to see the level of insight and intelligence that some of these keyboard cowboys (you know who you are) manage to put on here for the public to see. Stop this madness of fingerpointing and entitlement battles and work together.
I work for RAH, I want the YX guys to be integrated fairly even if it
means that I will get bumped. I am sorry that you were dealt a bad deck of cards. I am also convinced that the experience level and maturity that YX guys bring to the table will help transition the mindset from that of a regional to a major with all the changes and benefits that follow.
I'm sorry about your situation.
Welcome!
