Letter from a gojets pilot

if your furloughed from somewhere else going there then you should be thankful they gave you a job.....

What a great idea to deny someone trying to get home to his/her family the jumpseat. What a way to demonstrate the professionalism that is so often preached. Anyone ever given any thought to the fact that the pilot just left at the gate might actually, one day, go back to maybe... United (hopefully, atleast) and remember you when you show up to their gate sometime? Might want to think about that... just a little.
And on another note... I am really tired of the McDonald's is so much better analogy, so for all those out there who think so, please do the rest of us a favor. Careers Home
Now back to my workout.

"I can't understand how its alright now that furloughed ATA/UAL guys there."
I can.
Any UA guys coming over with the blessing of ALPA are hardly "bottom feeders". They scratched and clawed and paid their dues to reach a legacy and ended up on the street. I'd bet their experience levels are vastly superior to Gojet min hiring standards of the ATP academy sort. Big difference in experience and competence. These guys aren't "bottom feeder" material. Feel free to match your experience level with there's if you're not sure. In the end, they have the blessing of the UA MEC. Maybe you should take your fight to ALPA and leave the personal bashing off the forums.

Experienced or not, they are still employees at a bottom feeder. A blessing from ALPA means almost nothing seeing as how national changes direction as often as the wind changes direction.
I have voiced my concerns with John Prater himself as I have just met him and hopefully he will take my comments to heart (not likely).

I'm willing to cut the furloughed mainline guys a break, although I don't agree with their decision.
However, that does not make it OK for the rest of them...especially the former waterskiiers who are hurting TSA negotiations by supporting GJ, but get to stay on the seniority list and reap the benefits when and if a new contract and recalls come.
