I'm simply looking for someone to provide some answers on this, not waste a post on the thread.

I don't think he was trying to be a smart @$$, just telling you to check your union e-mail if you haven't. I personally will never post our union e-mails on APC or any public forum. Why don't you just give ALPA a call and have them forward you the recent ALPA ASA Connection Specials? PBS stuff are in the last few that came out.

But to answer your question... They claim it won't but who knows.

I don't know if this has been talked about in here - I didn't feel like looking through 15 pages to be honest.... but what's the language like governing the use of PBS. How much is it. Does anyone have a copy of the document you could send me?

Read your email or contact the union, definitely not a smart @ss response. Here is a link to past asaconnection newsletters.

We don't have that yet at ASA. It has only been agreed to in principle (between the MEC and company, pilots still have to vote). They are drafting the language now and expect to begin roadshows sometime in December (i think).

Just wish our first crack at PBS wasn't during December! I can see all kinds of scheduling mishaps during the holidays.

It will not be bid using any type of PBS at all. You'll bid for Dec the way we used to on Flica. CM got this approved by the vendor (Flightline) and the ASA so that we can become reacquainted with using Flica, NOT PBS.

This should be interesting.

Question....

For someone who is incredibly junior, what incentive is there for voting in PBS??

I dont want to hear the growth argument because that is not guaranteed at all....

NoHandHold 10-21-2009 04:09 AM

Anybody? Answer?

The best argument I could think of is that you're likely to be younger and better able to navigate the technology to get what you want. :D Otherwise, it sucks to be junior regardless!
