Pinnacle pilots say NO!!

Well Pinnacle will not be part of the UAL RFP - Just listened to the company confernce call and they said that UAL was there and we did put in a bid but we were not successful.
Take that for what its worth
My prediction is that in 2017 we will be a fleet of 124 crjs and 16 crj 900s

Yeah--I think them signing the TA was a last-ditch effort to get that UAL flying. They didn't want it bad enough to pay us too much, though.
Funny (and sad) thing about the current state of things--Pinnacle probably saw the Skywest deal, and the many Republic deals for cash-for-flying and probably now realizes they probably have a better chance of getting new flying by lending the money that was going to be the bonus check versus signing a deal with us.
God Forbid Delta or Continental needs cash in the next few years--they'll just lend away our would-be raises and bonuses and get more flying, still with no TA. And please don't respond with "but the NMB will release us by then..."

The online survey closes today and so far the participation has been pathetic. If you voted no and did not fill out this survey, then your no vote has lost a lot of its purpose. Its one thing to bang your chest and say you voted no, but its another to not want to do anything and let someone else take care of it for you. Seriously guys and girls, the survey takes 10 minutes to do and it will help out our negotiators going forward because they negotiate on what YOU say. Get off your butts and take the survey! If we don't get at least 58% participation on the survey, which is what the ta didnt pass by, then the survey is a failure.

I'm sorry but all my friends are flying today so I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to put on the survey because nobody has told me what to put on the survey.

I filled it out 4 hours after it came out--if they would have done an updated poll like this annually over the last 4 years we prob would have just finished our first month on a new agreement (i.e. if the NC had an updated picture of what 100% of us wanted in the current environment and pilot group, we would've had more than a 42% yes vote).
Higney--my only two things to say are this:
1) If it doesn't cost too much can you guys re-run this survey annually the first week of November so we have an updated picture for the NC? If it goes 2+ years til the next TA, and we don't get released somewhere in there, we need an updated picture or history will repeat itself (4 years will go by and things will have changed so much anything TA'ed will be sub-par).
2) I think JH made a great point on the union board--from day 1 the NC needs to stand firm on making it ammendable the day it would have been ammendable had we signed the most recent TA--setting a date like that forces the company onto our timeframe and gives THEM an incentive to want to get it done and not drag their heels....because every day that goes by is one less day of labor stability they could've used to bid on future RFPs...they would only be hurting themselves by dragging their feet if that was made clear from DAY ONE....
