You probably tell people that you fly for United and leave off the express part.

Actually, he was. Learned alot, and studied. Didn't take anything for granted. Turned out to be a good captain.

These guys all in there 2-3000 hr range. Upgrades are in the 190 number for senority and ive been here a year and iM above 220. If anything i would completly say the opposite, that colgan actually wants low time guys so that way there not going anywhere for a year...

The problem is not now. There are enough guys with the right times to meet the insurance mins and keep the upgrade committee happy. The problem will be 12 - 18 months down the road. This company is not done expanding by any means. What HR (CC, jr) specifically is worried about is hiring a large group of 500 - 600 hour pilots now which means in 12 - 18 months they only have 1300 - 1600 hours, to low for upgrade. If you're going to upgrade pilots in a 18 months it's better if the mix includes some 1000 hour guys initially.

The problem the company has also found with low time guys is that type of guy has a tendency not to stick around. He's quickly figures out it's going to be close to two years before upgrade. So he gets 400 - 500 of turbine and runs off to a jet. Then we're stuck with training a new pilot ($$). And before you jump on the second year FO pay scale, yes they know it's a problem.

Does Colgan have any scheduled class dates for the next couple months?
What are the dates?

Thanks.
