ASA CRJ-700 Rumor?
#21
sigh.... if you are furloughed and have a lot of time on your hands, I suggest you set up your own ASA pilot forum. There you can talk about all the latest gossip and rumors that you can think of including more CRJ-700s. Lots of people are doing it for their own airline. Even Lynx has its own pilot forum.
I don't know if that was meant as an insult.. but I thought that is what this forum was for.. to share ideas and possible developments in the industry.. You were more than welcome to not click on the link! No offense intended, but I think anyone here has a right to post anything they may hear going on in the industry.. and for those of us that are furloughed.. maybe some hope of us getting to fly again regardless of the airline! I really do love ASA and can't wait to come back

You all know I'm pretty "up" on things going on at ASA, and I have heard nothing about us getting more -700s anytime soon. One could speculate that we will eventually pick some up from Mesa, (and fly them for UAL) but I have heard nothing about this now. Check back in a month.

Use your brain. If the title is ASA, and you don't work for ASA, and don't care what goes on at ASA, then for the love of god, don't click on it! Duh.

I understand that you are furloughed but this forum would become worthless, kind of the like the other one has become.. if people start posting wild rumors about possible new flying airplanes routes etc they overheard a janitor discuss with the mechanics. Wait until there is an official announcement, or discuss it at your own pilot forum since it only concerns you. Thank you.
Kind of ironic that you are so concerned about rumors turning this website into "the other one," yet you have taken 3 separate posts to argue and flame ASA employees about a company rumor. Try adding something constructive or don't bother posting on the threads that bother you.
Until someone sets up an ASA board, this is the main source for employees to bounce around rumors and gripe with each other. Shifting gears, is it fact or rumor that the 700s are being equipped with 65/66 seats and first class?

Second off, I have heard the rumor from a couple of line pilots as well as a mechanic that they are going to retro-fit the 700's with first class. The number I heard was 66 seats. I also heard that they are going to remove the forward lav in order to fit the additional seats.
But honestly, without a net increase of airframes, I don't think really give a crap.

First off, there is an ASA board. It's called the ALPA Crewroom board... only ASA pilots can see the local board.

Wow. Colead3 started this topic stating that he has no sources, and he's looking for some, and you guys trash him for not having sources to back up his "claims". They weren't claims, it was a question. A legitimate question when you hear a rumor. Maybe consider reading the actual words in the post before going off on your "illegitimate rumor" rants. If you have information that would be helpful to Colead3, maybe offer it up. If not, ignore it.
