Holy crap man. Some things you just need to keep to yourself.

Let the whipsaw begin!

I am quite certain the guy didn't want your number either.

I am just saying.

In the end, isn't that what really matters?

Everyone wishes they had been that lucky! However, what about the point of Ch11 and all these agreements, from ASA's to flow throughs?

AA declaring BK ( which is seeming more and more likely by the day) won't affect the 824 who are slated to go from Eagle. That is pretty much written in stone.

However, the "on property by Oct. 11th" flow through agreement may-and most likely will-get eliminated. As it stands there are a number of factors which would nullify it anyway.

Either way, all of that pales in comparison to our shiney new TA. I don't think any new hires have been made aware of the new contract that is getting ready to be passed and the implications.

Among other things: we are getting a pay cut. Basically all ERJ pilots in the bottom 100 of the seniority list, including any future new hires will be paid ATR rates. Also, no yearly IAI increases since Eagle now claims that pilots somehow "owe" the company money. Did I mention that Eagle is also going to start parking the ATRs and 140/135s?

To those on the bottom of the seniority list...I would keep your resume fresh.

How long have you been at eagle? Just curious as to what the conditions are that nullify the settlement that provides the jobs at AA? (the OCT 11 thing) I hear that kicked around all the time and have read the whole grievance settlement, but can't find anything other than a full liquidation of eagle that would nullify the settlement. With an AA bankruptcy anything is possible, but what does that agreement have to do with AA's debt or financial situation? It costs them nothing.

stop with the how new are you, the newest guys are the most screwed by cutbacks, we are also listening the most since it will affect us the most!

Exactly. Plus we are paying for the most senior Eagle captains to go to AA with our awesome new pay cuts. We take a further hit to our income so guys making over 100k/year can "afford" to go to AA. Makes sense...

In any case, even if the Oct. 11th flow through agreement has a long life span (which is questionable) it would take years to dip down low enough to affect anybody hired at Eagle within the last 3 years. We are talking 8 years minimum, possibly more. In half that time you could easily apply to and be hired by other legacy carriers.

Of course, this is all assuming that not only the agreement survives but that Eagle itself is still around. Remember that we are becoming an airline with 3,000+ pilots and no aircraft. AMR is telling us to bend over and like it, or else they will contract out all our flying to "others".

If/when AA declares bankruptcy their flying will be reduced and the company will undergo an entire restructuring. Feeders will certainly be affected.
