Heck, I think you'd be better off with that crew coordinator "filling the void"........anybody but those clowns. What you guys need to do IMO, is boot the ORD reps and then clean the majority of the MEC and NC via recall and start from scratch. It sounds like other reps are ready to step in and redirect he future. It would throw a MAJOR wrench in your managements plans to grease a negotiated TA that appears is going to be rubber-stamped by your MEC leaders as they are nothing more then lap dogs for your management.

It would SLOW DOWN the whole process and force new negotiations. Most likely, the company would have to either negotiate a more palatable TA that would have to pass membership ratification or force an 1113 term sheet upon you which would effectively wipe-out any chance of a divestiture and hamstring them from getting any financing for new jets. I think it a certainty, that should you vote down any TA from the current reps, they go around you via MEC ratification "for the interest of the majority", etc.

It's your only chance.....................otherwise, you're toast.

DING DING DING DING!!!!!!!!!

The we dont need this internal conflict right now is PROPAGANDA AT ITS FINEST!!! WE MUST get our MEC in line or we will be nothing more than slaves working for much less money than they truly will pay us, and far worst terms, for FAR LONGER than required.

They sent out an email personally naming the pilots in ORD that wanted them recalled, and have refused to hold a meeting. If they get voted out, most likely team tony, particularly Tony himself will get voted out as they lose majority. It is time for some fresh faces in our MEC. We need to be on our ball right now, and these guys are not. Its always good for fresh faces, and the tides are turning on these guys.

RECALL ORD!!! New faces, as we move forward UNITED with a fresh movement.

What happened? Seven people is all that made it to the meeting. I will say good for them for not wasting everyone's time by not putting a vote to recall Ryan to the floor. They saw they didn't have the votes.

The chronic apathy of Eagle pilots happened. It's a group whose unalterable destiny is to forever be observers to their own future. It would appear the statement of one Eagle pilot on one of the Eagle forums is correct, i.e., Eagle pilots couldn't ante up a decent flag football team, let alone any defense of their livelihood.

Nothing to stop "team tony" now that frankie just kicked a field goal. Brandy and cigar's in Euless on Tuesday !!!

I read your term sheet via a friend of mine. My question to you is do you feel that this is something negotiable? Reminds me of something I heard once. If you're on a first date with a girl, and she tells you she plans on sleeping with a different guy every night, has every VD known to man, and plans on sucking the life and money out of you; are you going to ask to see a wine list, and ask her about her cats, or are you gonna get up and leave the table. It seems to me your ALPA leadership just wants to sit at the table and kiss the a** of management. Some things are not negotiable, i.e things involving your life and occupation. If your union is not willing to stand up for its pilots and demand what is fair and just, then it's time for new leadership.
The fact that your LEC held a meeting at such a place at such a time, tells me what they think of their constituents, and that's not a whole lot. Just the fact that they did something so absurd screams to me, they need to be ousted. I'm guessing you rather, get the VD and lose everything than standup for your rights. I hope all the best for the Eagle guys.

No, what happened was they intentionally scheduled a meeting over a HOLIDAY weekend 50 minutes away from the airport so hardly anybody could attend even if they wanted too! There was a list of over 60+ pilots who were in contact with others that wanted to vote for recall but could not get a proxy carrier because nobody could attend this intentionally ridiculous meeting time/location..

Then they used illegal means to win the vote with illegal proxy votes. They had a company paid employee, a crew scheduler, handing out and collecting proxy votes in the crew room. Signed by pilots without having the proxy carrier name listed at the time of signing (which is a violation of the interpretation of ALPA constitution and by-laws).

Interpretation of the Executive Council: The Executive Council, at its December 2000 meeting,
interpreted Article III, Section 3G as follows: “Proxy forms under Article III, Section 3G of the
Constitution and By-Laws must be completed in their entirety and signed by the member giving
the proxy, including the name of the proxy holder, when the form is signed.

They also had a negotiating team member handing out proxy forms and telling people to put them in the ALPA box in the crew room. Proxy carrier names were not listed this time either. Plenty of people witnessed this. At the meeting, they had a bunch of previously filled out and signed proxy votes asking people in attendance to fill in their name as proxy carriers. Illegal again, same as above. Also using the ALPA box to stuff votes for only one side is obviously a violation of improper ALPA resource uses.

As per constitution and By-laws they were required to (regular mail) out a meeting notification for a special recall meeting to EVERY member of 133 no later than 15 days in advance of the meeting. I still have not talked to one person that received one in the mail. One person claims to have gotten one on another forum post, but at least 15 people I asked personally never did. Along with everyone else on the forum stating they never received it. So this is another major violation of the rules.

ALPA Constitution and By-Laws Article III section 3:
(2) Notice of regular Local Council meetings called to consider Nomination of Representatives, as provided in Section 7B of this Article, or to consider Nomination and Election of an Interim Status Representative, as provided in Section 2E of this Article, or to consider recall of a Local Council Representative or Officer, as provided in Section 2F of this Article, or to vote on a Local Council assessment in accordance with Article IX, Section 7B, shall be mailed by the Vice President-Administration/Secretary to each member at his last known home address not less than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of such meeting.
There was also NO time listed on the meeting notification as required by constitution and by-laws either.

This whole thing was rigged from the start.

this MEC is trash, go look at the captain rep in Miami, the guy went to the dallas meeting on company time, and got all his flying dropped, then he came back and has OT the last week of the month. This guy cares nothing about unity, he cares about lining his wallet, like most MEC/LEC members. Go do N3D/MIA/EMJ/CA see how times you see PW and OT.

Sorry I quoted the wrong contract section in my post above and it won't let me edit it, same rule but incorrect #.

This is the correct one for special LEC meeting for recall:

Constitution and By Law ArticleIII section 3
(4) Notice of special Local Council meetings called to consider Nomination of Representatives, Nomination and Election of Interim Status Representatives, the recall of a Local Council Representative or Officer, or to vote on a Local Council assessment shall be mailed by the Vice President-Administration/Secretary to each member at his last known home address not less than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of such meeting.
