It's all perspective. To the guys on reserve since 07-08' it has seemed like a long time. To those hired this year 6-7 months on reserve still seems like too long.
No matter how long you spend on reserve it sucks.
Good for those finally getting off reserve. It's nice to see some movement.
Remember all those hired in 07/08 and have been on reserve for this whole time or furloughed just think...if things move like they say we're all going to upgrade in 2 years or so.
I'd say that was worth the amount of time on reserve. Look at those guys who upgrade after 10 years and then got bumped back to the right seat. Now those are the guys I wouldn't ***** about my 3 years of reserve around.
I'm all about promoting a loving eagle's nest this year! haha

If anyone gets a call for a class date please post it here. I am really hoping for the first class in Jan. It's just weird that the 3rd won't give us a two week notice.
I would still take it, since all my employers know that I am close to leaving anyways.

Hey at least they had a job flying. Sitting reserve has to suck, but try teaching students for the past 3 years 6 days a week for little pay. I would rather be sitting reserve building quality time with a number then teaching.

Of course not, but you'll make a name for yourself real quick. Remember, you're still on probation and NY is a small base...I have no animosity towards the new hires who jump right into hard lines while I'm on RSV because it's not something they can control...Management interpreted our contract in an F'd up way and as of now there's nothing to be done about that. I do, however, have animosity towards those who sound ungrateful...

How is eagle towards applicants who have not flown much in two years? I have been furloughed since 08 from comair and have flow about 10 hours since then. But I do meet the requirements and live in dallas now so id love the opportunity to fly for eagle.
