yeah i applied online via airlineapps.com. I chose not to be a member because Eagle is really the only airline i would like to work for right now.

It was a few months till I heard anything, but I applied last Aug. with less than 100 ME. I got 100 me a few weeks ago, and heard from them about a week later. HOWEVER I have a buddy there who was in DFW for his PT and stopped in HR, within 30 min of him stopping in I got an email from airline apps that Eagle would review my app in 2 days. 2 Days later I got an email to call Vicky in HR. Called her last week, and they put me for first week of Jan. Good luck, if you know anyone at Eagle have them bang on hrs door for ya, I think it is what makes the difference, otherwise you just need to wait till they get to your app. My buddy told me the guy told him he had about 800 apps to get through.

I see, it definetly helps to know someone thats for sure. Well, I just got an email from them, seems im not up to par to be a regional airline pilot for them.

They said they don't disclose the reason for the dissaproval, and that i can reapply in 6 months.

Damn I'm really bummed out about this. I can't possibly see how i could not even be competitive for even just an interview.

I have a degree in industrial management, MBA, never failed a checkride/flight test/ written exam, etc., squeaky clean driving record (1 speeding ticket 8 years ago), almost 1500 total time, over 200 ME, regional jet course completed, even 27 hours of jet sic time.

Oh well, guess I'll just have to make my millions selling stuff on the internet for another 6 months. :)

That amazes me...........could it be that.....you havent flown much lately? Are you current both ME/IR? Everything you show sounds great, but there must be a reason. I know most places want people who are current.

You know what i did fail to mention one minor detail, i did get a warning letter from the FAA about an incident that occurred last march. I did explain the whole story on my app, made sure i DID NOT put the blame on anyone, and i resigned from that company a couple of days later.

I can't imagine a warning letter, or the circumstances surrounding it, could possibly prevent me from getting an interview though. I would just think they would want to hear more about it.

I am current on everything else, IFR / ME, and all that...

It really does boggle my mind, even my girlfriend, who knows hardly anything about aviation is like "your resume would seem like a regional airlines dream"??

Did you just update that part of your application today, followed right after by a thanks but no thanks email?

Do you really think it had nothing to do with it? I don't think they want to ever have to worry about an incident with one of their planes, and have to answer to a civil trial court why they hired somebody with an FAA warning letter in their file, when they had 800 other applications to process....

Sounds to me like their HR made the right call...

You need to do more research on the industry if that is your honest opinion of Lakes and Colgan
