You need to do more research on the industry if that is your honest opinion of Lakes and Colgan

You know it. Still live here, I am hoping to god I get a NY base. I just interviewed with Lakes and got the offer but could not take the class date, so I am in the pool there. Denver/NM would be tough. I also have Colgan coming up, both are good regionals to work for. Need to get a job at either one first, but if I can stay in NJ that would be nice, I am trying to avoid a commute.

(highlighting added for clarity)

There is nothing in your comment to indicate anything about Eagle... it clearly says you consider both of the other employers to be good regionals.

Your words, not mine.

Hi, I'm unit monster, my wife and I are trying to get to ANU this Friday on a ZED fare.

any chance someone on here could check the load for flight AA1907 MIA-ANU on Friday?

flyzed.com has been showing a red frown face for weeks indicating high load factors.

I called the AA non rev line and the nice lady said there were more than a handfull of seats available. I believe her, but was hoping to get a third opinion of this flight.

Thanks for the help!

Sounds to me like their HR made the right call...

So you mean to tell me that, out of 800 applications, there is not 799 other guys that had a checkride failure, accident/incident/warning letter, line check failure, problem in training, e.g. something that could potentially be on their record? Unless they are planning on hiring about 5 guys, i would say it's EXTREMELY unlikely.

I have been flying for 10 years, and have not met ONE PERSON who holds a commercial cert. that does not have something on their record.

Mason, it would be gratifying to know that we all lived in a perfect world, but in aviation, it just doesnt happen. I read a statistic somewhere that everytime you fly, you are breaking a MINIMUM of 32 different FAR's.

Just think about that for a sec.

I really do not want to get into this much, but I know a bunch of guys with 1000ttl 100me, who have never failed a cr/been in trouble/had accident indicent. INCLUDING ME, flying wise my slate is clean, only blemish I have AT ALL is some speeding tickets.

Its a tough break getting the rejection letter from a company you really wanted to work for, but all you can do now is get back on the horse and find the next carrier to apply to. I got rejected at my #1 choice for a regional and wound up at Eagle. I am happy things worked out the way they did, and I hope you can do the same someday.

yeah, its no big deal man, but i never had an accident/incident, all i got was a warning letter. I guess this is a big deal to them though. Oh well, crap happens.

Thanks alot man. Yeah, im just really ticked off, Eagle seemed like such a great career choice as opposed to some of the other regionals out there. I have a nice source of side income that i think I'm just gonna stick to for now. It has the potential to grow exponentially, so maybe this is an omen.

I appreciate your kind words. Take care.
