You know it. Still live here, I am hoping to god I get a NY base. I just interviewed with Lakes and got the offer but could not take the class date, so I am in the pool there. Denver/NM would be tough. I also have Colgan coming up, both are good regionals to work for. Need to get a job at either one first, but if I can stay in NJ that would be nice, I am trying to avoid a commute.

Both are good regionals to work for? Seriously? Between great lakes and colgan? Please..do yourself a favor and stay away from the airlines..I think you need a few more years to actually do some research..

Yeah Man I'm down in florida now, I grew up in Edison though, was flight instructing at KMJX. I fully agree with you I really dont want to commute! Thats why i would love to work for eagle out of Miami, would be a nice 1 hr. drive to their and i could sit at home on reserve rather then some crash pad.

Good luck with your interview.

Nice, ya I went to Rutgers, learned to fly with pops up at Warwick Airport in NY, then finished my training at KFWN Sussex. I have flown jumpers at Sussex 2 years now, and spent the winter out in Sacramento at a Jump school. I got the regional mins and am shooting for the moon, trying to get a few options so I can try and play the cards right to make ok pay and be based in NY. We shall see how it plays out.

Ya, you get an email saying they are reviewing your app in 2 days on airlineaps, then got email that day saying to call Vicky. She gave me interview about 1/2 month out. If you know anyone at Eagle have them contact HR, that will get you the email right then in there that they are reviewing your app.

Wait, after reading your post here, im a little confused. Did you get a call 2 days after submitting app on airline apps, or they emailed you telling you they received your app and will review it in 2 days?

I'm just trying to get a timeline down, I don't even know if they got my application, I never received any word from them that they did.

Thanks bud.

BTW, don't you dare tell anyone you are upgrading at year 6, the 01 hires will have animosity towards you.

Oh, I guess I made a name for myself a few years ago. I guess everyone hates me At work without me even knowing it. GMAFB

Damn dude, you have a lot of pent up anger. *I'm just voicing an issue that I and others have seen around the ny base. When I'm sitting ready and I overhear a crj new hire whining about how he didn't get the line he wanted or wasnt able to get weekends off (don't get me wrong, it's few and far between), then yeah it ****es me off a little bit. *Or about how he "FINALLY" got off reserve after 2-3 months...Have a little tact. Go ahead, call me 5 yrs old for feeling that way...I'm off to fly now and don't really go on these forums much so I'm done here, Congrats and good luck to the new hires though, we need you!!

people get a little caught up in intraweb forum boards. Good God! Don't we do aviation cause we love it? Whatever happened to flying because it was fun? I hope i have the sense to get out of this business if it ever comes to that much of a burden on my life.
