Now, I'm even more curious since we all did the drug screen ect... Did you get called back to do those a second time? Just contemplating sending Chuck an e-mail because I was starting to wonder about how long it may take to find anything out?

I did not do the fingerprint and drug test at the interview; I believe it was because I was in the last sim session and people had flights to catch.

I didn't get a chance to do fingerprinting or drug testing on the day of the interview, either. I was only of THE last ones to leave-in fact, all the HR people were gone by the time I was done with my sim. So they called me the following week to get it done. I wouldn't call Chuck just yet. Assuming there will be a class May 18th, I'm sure you'll be notified by May 4th of the opportunity. That's only a week and a half away. Just be patient.

Aztec, yes, you could theoretically hold CRW if you wanted it. I got it in training but am bidding out so there will be at least 1 vacancy there (hopefully) if you get in and want to go there. Obviously the sooner you get in, the better seniority you will have and the more likely it is you can hold Charlie West. Keep in mind it is a Saab base, so if you get the Q you won't get it. I've only seen 1 or 2 reserve lines, it seems to vary month-to-month as far as I can tell. Trips there are mostly day trips but there are a few overnights thrown in. I've heard, like many others have, that the outstations are closing so who knows how much longer CRW will be a base.

Classes do start on Tuesdays, not entirely sure why, but that is when they seem to be starting.

Classes start on Tuesdays because Sundays are a reduced operation day and they want to ensure that everyone gets to class at the same time... thus the travel on Monday.... thats my guess anyway.
I don't think CRW will close anytime soon if ever... CRW serves both UA and US and as such it is treated like a focus city... redundancy.

yeah, god help the pilots who grew up hand flying the hondo or the saab into most of the special airports on the east coast. I've personally flown into ASE and GUC and just about every other mountain airport in the west and it doesn't require any super special skills. Proper planning and a healthy respect for limitations and weather are what keep crews safe in those environments. Flying a Q from IAH to ASE is another question. And with Pinchanickel running the show, they would probably be put in the shoddiest hotel 150 miles away, not to mention that they couldnt afford to eat in Aspen on our pay.........

I'm sure you know CHO also served UA/US until it closed a few months ago.

Yea but we go to DCA for US Airways out of CRW. That's not going anywhere anytime soon and it's all day trips there so it would have to stay as a base until we stop flying to DCA.
