There still is the talent portion you must get through.

That is exactly why airlines have a sim eval. They want candidates who can lock on out of the box and fly a profile without a dry run. They are never looking for the beech 1900 masters, just someone who can maintain standards on the profile and not get themselves lost or balled up.

A Buildup line, meaning just open, unscheduled?

BHB would be great, learn a lot from those captains. Plus that place just seems gorgeous. Might get bored but at least it's bored in a nice place.
Maine in the wintertime is about as depressing as it can get. I can personally vouch for that one. The only thing you can do is drink and ski. Two things one probably would not be able to afford being an FO for a regional

Don't let it eat you up... you may not here anything for a while. When Chuck finally called with a class date he thanked me for my patience/understanding.

I would assume they have a lot on their plate right now.

Stay busy, try not to think about it. :-)

Is Chuck serious?? This isn't the first letter he has sent me. But more importantly, he is writing a letter regarding a company HE runs, and expects people to really trust him and his company with this letter, and he can't even proofread his work and/or spell? Come on. I have no desire to work at such a place.
Here is the letter, no BS.

Pilot Candidate

Dear X X,

Good Morning. I wanted to give pilots that have applied to Colgan Air a breif update and ask those pilots that are still interested in an F/O positions to contact us.

Despite an ecominic situation that has serviorily affected our industry Colgan Air has not only remains stable but is adding aircraft and expanding operations. The first of 15 new Q400's started service this week. As a result we are increasing our hiring and schuduling 3 classes a month. Two classes are planned for the Saab340 and 1 class monthly for Q400.

Your seniority will rise fairly quickly if you hired early in our hiring cycle helping you get a base assignemet and schedule that you may perfer. We are interviewing twice a month in LGA.

Colgan Air remains a stable, family orientated, and growing company that offers an opportunity for career development.

If you would like to be considered for interview or have any questions please update your application and contact me at [email protected].

Have a great day.
Chuck Colgan"
