The company stated that there will be 42 recalled - the notice was sent to 56 and so far at least 12 of us bypassed (35 accepted). Not sure if they'll sent out more notices if more people bypass. Guess we'll find out on Monday.

Delta Connection carriers are adding pilots to their rosters to prepare for more flying this summer as Mesa Air operations wind down.

Delta reached an agreement last month with Mesa Air to keeping flying commuter flights during a gradual wind-down process through August. Other Delta Connection carriers will add operations during the transition.

“While we are working closely with Mesa on a smooth transition schedule for their aircraft to leave the operation in the fall, additional hiring at each of the carriers is required to meet the high summer demand, increased utilization and backfill of those routes,” said Don Bornhorst, v.p.-Delta Connection.

Atlantic Southeast Airlines said this week it is recalling 42 furloughed pilots this month. The Delta Connection carrier is adding four CRJ-700 aircraft to its fleet, which now includes 160 aircraft.

Compass Airlines has announced plans to immediately begin hiring at least 50 pilots this summer to backfill anticipated attrition because of Delta’s hiring plans. Compass operates a fleet of 36 Embraer E-175 jets, with crew bases in Minneapolis/St Paul, and Detroit.

Comair said it will recall at least 70 pilots and 40 flight attendants who had been furloughed.

Interesting......... Wonder what would have happened if no one bypassed. I could see that happening but I guess we know that's not the case. So what happens on Monday?

Monday's the deadline for accepting/resigning/bypassing. Or resignation by default by failing to fill out the form! With another 19 who haven't responded, I'm curious now if they'll fill all 42 spots or if they'll have to send another round of letters.

You know i find it a little stupid on Delta's part to post this and then not post anything about the 250+ guys that are about to be furloughed at Mesaba because of getting rid of the Saabs...

Hiring huh? That's quite different than recalls there Don.
