there are still plenty of NE saab CA's that have the time to go to the q400, but are staying on the saab for QOL. I'm sure they could get enough CA's to fill about six or eight planes at the most in EWR. Looking down the road though, this could stop upgrades on the saab, because those scheduled for Q classes may now defer and stay on their present equipment. I'm sure we will all get a big brown cookie in the mail to entice us to do as they wish. Check your cookies for corn.....If it smells like Sh**, looks like Sh** and tastes like Sh** then it probably came from Memphis. Screw all this base crap. CONITED pilots, please scope in everything above 50 seats and give me a senority number instead

What i don't get is what routes would the Q400 do out of CLE? I guess they could do ORD, LGA, maybe BOS? I can't really think of any other routes that would support 70+ seats that the Q has the range for. Mainline does FL and the west coast, XJT does a lot of the shorter hops but they are rarely full. I just don't see how the Q would fit into CLE, at least not 15 of them.

How about MSP, MKE, OMA, MCI, OKC, STL, IND, PIT, BUF, YWG, YYZ, MEM, BNA, TYS, HSV....

I agree 100% that the Q's will more than likely not be going to IAH anymore. If they were, management would not have come out with a memo that, in a nutshell said, "Rumor spreading regarding the Q's not coming to IAH anymore ... Meeting with Co-nited this Friday ... Update to come soon". They would have simply said, "this is rumor, they will still be coming to IAH" end of story.

I figured when the Co-nited merger happened it could literally change everything. We (9L) are one of the only regionals (yes, there are a few others) that operates almost exclusively for both airlines (yes, USAirways is there too, but not a huge competitor). So, they could pretty much rearrange our entire route system if they wanted to with us being the only operator of the Q-400 aircraft for both airlines.

I'll be very interested to see what comes of this next week!!
I'd be willing to bet that you can be looking forward to a Denver base and LAX or SFO base as well in the future. I bet we (SkyWest) will be moving out east to EWR with our 700s while your Qs will be doing some of the coveted west coast short hops and colorado mountain flying that we do with the 50s and 70s.

Complete speculation on my part, but i'd put money on it happening in the next year.

I dunno about it happening in the next year ... but I agree, it could easily happen that way. I wouldn't bet on SFO so much as I would DEN or LAX pretty easily. We'll see!

I think everything at this point is pure speculation anyway ..
