ASA Recalls 30 more...

But guess everybody is giving away all the good stuff now. There are 2 additional 200s going to IAD now so a few lucky furloughees will be lineholders.

I am actually happy to see more people being recalled at ASA. This industry blows though, as you guys recall more (some of which is from QX CRJ700) Horizon has just announced they will be furloughing 40 pilots (result of the CRJ700s).
I don't resent ASA even in the slightest for this. Horizon has been trying to get rid of the airplanes for some time and apparently had these kind of plans attached to them. So this is all on Horizon managers and not on any other management team or pilot group.
But there is a good chance I will be on the street by the end of the year from this.
Seems like the jobs are just shifting around right now.

I agree with you. I was very upset to see all the cancellations due to the lack of crews. HOWEVER, I am surprised no one has commented on BH's update the other day. Apparently we didnt get the -700s back in time from the first class config process. So thats not really our fault. Also, delta found flying for those six -200s in limbo for us....plus 2 more -200s for the united side. Thats some pretty big news i must say. Anyone know where those two united frames are coming from?
I really hope management can figure out this staffing thing soon...i would hate to shoot ourselves in the foot and miss some "opportunistic" flying...

It's not the operation, that is a mess. . .rather the recent nightmare in regards to scheduling and having to canx many many flights because of it.
Ive heard nothing but WONDERFUL things coming from those who fly on the United side of the house, so much so that it'd be worth it to me to commute up there to escape the silliness of Delta operations. It's a tough balancing act.
Nevertheless, don't think a lot of us furloughed guys are talking about the operational mess - rather the most recent ridiculous behavior from our company in regards to failed planning of resources (crew staffing).
