Astrojet,

I suggest you read the the RAH 10K sometime. The contracts are specifically between Shuttle America Corp. and Delta Airlines or Chautauqua Airlines Inc., and American Airlines, etc...

The simple fact is that RAH is not an airline. It is a holding company. What one airline does has absolutely no legal impact on what the other ones are doing. I'm quite sure Bedford made a few calls to a few accountants and attorneys before he set this stuff up. You may not like him and think he is evil, but he is not stupid.

It's so silly that is the case so what if an airline has a 200 seat airplane as long as they don't fly them for united or delta I don't see the problem, just another example unions binding the hands of companies.

I see a problem if the FO tops out at $37 an hour.

Relax. That is only temporary. It will be fixed in the next 5-10 years. You need to "be patient."

last i heard ...there are no more emb-145 from chataqua flying for eagle...and when they were it was a big thorn for all eagle pilots....besides ...the longer the regionals fly jets, or aircraft over 40 seats....the longer their pilots will make less money and have less opportunitys to move up to a major airline...the name of this website is AIRLINE PILOT central.com....not CEO central .com....not flight school stident central.com....or airline enthusiast central.com....for years to come all the pilots that had payed their dues at midwest, frontier, lynx will hate how republic wiped out their futures.

You're right, there are no CHQ E145s flying for American...but there are E140s currently flying AX out of ORD.

And I guarantee you Arpey & the AMR BOD is aware that Chautauqua's parent company owns a bunch of 70-100 seat airplanes.

I was here before lynx even existed. And Hockeypilot44 I guess the mods just deleted a post of mine in response to yours but essentially you never have anything good to say to anyone, even your own pilots, so put a can in it. You've been very fortunate and timing was perfect for you. You wouldn't what it's like to have to actually work/fight for something. The fact you worked at RAH, was hired with low time, upgraded to Captain, got your time there and moved on to DAL then turn around and spit on all those here really shows your nature. You'll get yours sooner or later. Everything you rant about his is completely contradictory to the actual choices you've made in real life. [edit:delete flamebait]

I had over 1200 hours when I started at Chautauqua. If 1500 hours was a hard minimum, I would have started less than a year later. I wouldn't call me that low time compared to other pilots hired after me at Chautauqua. When I started at Chautauqua, my goal was to quit and move on to a major as fast as possible. Chautauqua was a 50-seat jet stepping stone. I had some good timing, but I also took every single opportunity given to me. There are numerous pilots at Republic who have never even filled out an application, and then they ***** that UPS, Southwest, and FedEx are not hiring the best candidates. [edit:delete flamebait] I hate ALPA, but when it comes down to it, I would never back-stab a fellow pilot. I pay my dues though and follow company policy. I'm a good employee. If something bad comes my way career-wise, I'll laugh about it. If that's the worst thing that happens to me in life, big deal. All I care about is my family. I can support them in other ways outside flying. I can't support them long-term in a $37/hour airline job.
