I would not go that far. The 9E MEC has lost the trust and respect of its pilot group. 5+ years of negotiation and all you guys put out there is a half assed TA that not even the entire MEC voted in favor of. How else do you expect your pilots to feel? Most regionals have been getting raises and/or being paid more than 9E guys to do the same work.
And don't blame it on management.....I don't know of any management gourps out there that look forward to giving everyone raises. To be fair, 3 of the 5 MEC members who voted to pass that TA on to the pilots are no longer on the MEC. I have much more confidence in the current MEC than the old one. Also Higney was not on the MEC when that TA was put to the group. |

This is pretty much how I feel as well. I've got more confidence in the current MEC than I did in the previous one. My local reps are top notch. Couldn't say that a year and a half ago. It hasn't been the MEC's fault we don't have a contract by now, it's been a perfect storm of management, the RLA and the NMB. |
Stand tall.
Do something of value. Value what you do. Seek reasonable compensation for what you do. One group. One contract. |
You know guys, for once, why can't it just work? If Delta and Northwest can bring 12000 pilots under once seniority list and contract and if United and Continental can do it, then why does everyone think that the three MEC's from Colgan, Mesaba, and Pinnacle are not going to be able to get a good deal? Even if it is Pinnacle management, they can't drag it out this time becuase nothing can happen until things are set in motion and this is one of them. No one is going to be perfectly happy but odds are our mec's are going to be able to get us some good things.

That's just my take on how are management team approaches the day-to-day business. |

I am hearing rumblings of NO fences between certificates for upgrades...I think that was the case at RAH too, but not 100% on that and they are UBT and might have different merger rules, formulas, etc...
