Yeah, from what I've heard...the first question they have asked, even with walk-ins, is "are they on airlineapps"?

After talking about the new hire class to begin in November, the manager commented to the instructor, "Don't expect it [hiring] to end after November." Instructor said manager was hinting towards another new hire class to begin in January.

Put your resumes on airlineapps - we need you.

Yep...my friend ASA had a sit down with D.R. in recruiting recently and he told her ASA told him to expect small, incremental hiring to continue for a while....they told him to hold off "re-retiring" again.

Has anyone else noticed that on airlineapps.com, when you go to the option 'compare my app' it now states that ASA's minimums are 1500 tt and 300 multi??!

As far as I know, airlineapps will not display your application to a given airline unless those published numbers are met or exceeded.

One step forward two steps back... dam :(

ASA came on 14th which is above Delta.

Heard from a source above my job title. Take it with a grain of salt!!

Not sure what it means but EV has some CR7s on delta net after Jan 4th. Asa 700s are listed as CJ7s on delta net. Interesting indeed.

Comair 700s are listed as CR7s and Asa as CJ7s, that was the point. Sorry.

I could be wrong but if airlineapps is anything like I used to use at a former employer they can look you up by name. They can most likely change the parameters for one search if they want to. I'm sure that is what they are doing with the people that are recommended by internal employees. They get the resume, look them up by name, review the app, and then either call them or don't.

What do you mean by this?

This may be a silly question but if your resume is walked in by a captain and you are reasonably qualified what are the chances of getting a call as things stand now at ASA?

The chances are much better then if you just applied and waited, but they apparently now have a stack of resumes that have been walked in, so it may take some time. My understanding is that only people with internal recs are getting their Airline Apps pulled for review, and although they need pilots now, they are still being quite picky.

Good Luck!
