What I meant by Joint decisions was working together. 9E went against what the majority was going for and then gets mad at the majority... That just isn't the right thing to do. These decisions need to be weighed by the entire group. If all three, or at least 2 out of 3 don't agree then it shouldn't be done in a knee-jerk way just because you feel you can. And at the very least if you're going to go against the grain and do what you want, don't come throwing stones at the people who didn't see things your way.

I and many others on here have asked this very question many times. I keep hearing support, support, support, but support was never mentioned in any of our MEC e-mails. It was timing because of the fact progress was still being made. Then there are the really pessimistic ones that say its the same as it has been for the last 6 years and we should know better and trust them to know that we are not going to get anytime soon because that's the games Pinnacle management plays. Many don't want to accept that their section six negotiations was paused in the hopes that we can achieve a joint contract and group the last 70+ days in with their last 6 years. But the best one I have read on here, and I suspect this may be the view of many, is that since we were bought by Pinnacle Corp. we should let them lead the way, even though 2/3 say lets hold off on picketing. That may explain the lack of support for the majority and the bullting attempts.
Those of us that are talking about this being the same old thing are just as frustrated by guys that keep saying "this is different" or "Pinnacle needs this" over and over as those guys are of hearing from us the same things over and over again about our negotiations. Sure, things move quickly until you get to the big ticket items. That's when, historically, 9E has failed to seal the deal. It's a lot like watching a team make it to the Super Bowl 4 years in a row and never win. Although, this time, for some reason, they're gonna win. Really. It's gonna happen. If things move quickly this week, awesome. As of right now, we are where we have been for a LOOOONG time. 9E pilots are jaded, tired and underimpressed. It's not that we're jealous of the pace of the JCBA, it's that we're just now getting to the items that never get done anyway. Once those things start getting done, a LOT of 9E guys (myself included) will change their tune.

Our Section 6 negotiations weren't halted for this. We were on ice with the NMB. Colgan, to my understanding, just had management stop negotiating period because (at the time) it was gonna be two airlines with two contract, Colgan was gonna get Mesaba's contract per XJ's scope, so why waste the manpower? I don't think 9E's MEC should lead the way any more than XJ's or 9L's. Honestly, with the combined MEC, I think it should be all new blood with no prior loyalties to any of the groups.

You are missing the most important point of all:
The Mesaba and Colgan MECs sent a message that there is no unity in the pilot group directly to management and in so doing have effectively shot themselves in the foot.
Stupid, stupid short-sighted bickering children.
