But when you have pilots saying "9e and XJ folks, don't get too concerned about what the 9L people say. Even if every Colgan pilot votes "no", it will only take about 62% of each of your groups to ratify" then you've got problems in your house - especially before SLI, regardless of the financial gains in the contract.

Even an idiot should be able to see the Ford & Harrison touch on this agreement...

This contract has huge gains for Colgan and Pinnacle. I think you are blinded by the pay rates. If you look a little deeper you will realize that at the end of the year your W2 will significantly increase with this TA and more importantly your QOL will too.

My Prediction is this passes by at least 80%.

actually everybody gets one. it is the raise that everybody gets on dec 1 (assuming this TA passes). What people want to see though is COLA continued after the 5 year duration of the contract so that if negotiations for the next contract are drug out another 5 years you will at least be getting a raise every year. Penalize the company for dragging their feet...

1 pilot said that and he doesn't even work for Colsabacle. So the problems aren't in our house. they are the peeping toms looking in our window...

Exactly! I'll be sad if this TA doesn't have a COLA past DOS+5. XJ's current contract has 1.5% a year every year after we ran out of rates... that way if they take 5 extra years you don't end up with a ten year old rate.... hmm....

Honestly, I see the split pay scales as being short sighted on the part of management as they will just see a huge increase in training costs which will offset alot of what they get in the split scale. Every pilot at 9L will jump ship to 9E as soon as possible displacing current 9E pilots to reserve lines for a very long time. Based on a fair and equitable sli, there will be several senior saab pilots looking for a big pay raise. I see this really screwing fo's at all three companies (yes, you will upgrade but you'll not get paid very well for a long time).

Oh yea.. the fallout from the different pay rates will be horrific.... Who knows how long those displacements will be running... It's going to cost big money. Some of that will be solved with seat locks.. if you seat lock a guy for 24 months and that could prevent his upgrade there will be many people not interested... plus not all equipment is in every base.. to some guys being home based is better than 4 dollars difference per hour.
